Keep moving, don't stop, our journey will never stop until our last breath. No matter how many roads are closed their always a detour toward our goals. We just need to find a way and keep on moving to reach what we are aiming for.
Hello everyone !!!,
Today, September 30, 2022, is my last day of work at my Project Site as a Site Engineer. I wanna say YOHOOO !!!, at last, the next days will be Holidays 😅. I can take a break for now after grinding for three years on this project site. No worries about work in the next days, no deadlines for submittals, no target accomplishment, and no time to chase on.
Tomorrow we wake up with a different perspective, a lighter day compares to the three years we have in this corporate world. I think theirs no problem to take a break, am I right? taking a break is not actually all about vacation and doing freely without contemplation of the future. Yes, going outdoors, visiting beautiful beaches, and going on an adventure is part of what we are looking forward to. But it is also the time to energize ourselves, reflecting on what we did the last 3 years. It is also the time to strategize our next move to level up ourselves for the next opportunity to checkmate.
What did you do on your Last day of work ?
This time is a moment of saying goodbye to your colleagues, having their contact information to keep in touch (but not those toxic ones 😅), and taking some photos as a remembrance. This is also the time to clean up your desk, Clean your Computers for hand over and send out the important documents to the working folder of the company that they will use as reference. Doing this stuff earlier reminisce all the moments I have in this place and with these people. The experience and challenges with them. It's been three years with these people and I will not forget it.
What do you feel on your Last day of work ?
I don't know how to describe it but it's a kind of mixed emotion I'm feeling right now. I'm happy and at the same time sad. Happy because I learned a lot in this place, from my mentors, and colleagues. In the moment of failure and success in this work, I know in myself that I am different from 3 years ago. I'm happy cause I meet a lot of different people in this place that became a big part of my journey.
Sad, because I will miss this place, It became my comfort zone for three years, my training ground, and become my second home. I will miss the moment of challenges, and pressure at work (though I hate it 😅). The unforgettable moments, like arguing with other departments, and hating one of your colleagues 😅. I wanna say " F_C_ Y_U and Thank you " cause you make me strong as an individual. And of course, to the colleagues that became my mentors and friends, thank you for becoming my support on this project. It's goodbye for now but I know it's not the end.
I will treasure these moments and adventures with my colleagues who became my travel buddies. This is the only time we want to wipe out the problems and pressure onsite. Just take travel and have fun.
That's it Hivers for today's blog about my last day in my workplace. Hoping you've learned something from my story today and thank you for dropping by and visiting my little hive room.

It must be really mixed emotions for you, leaving a project that has been your life for the last three years. And you guys were actually all living onsite during the pandemic? Hopefully you have made some very good friends since you guys been together so much together. Do you know what your next step will be yet?
Hi @livinguktaiwan thank you for dropping 😊.
Most of us are living onsite during pandemic aside those managers and staff who had a personal vehicle that can go home direct from site.
I totally made a lot of friends on this place. And one of those is @indayclara who introduce me on this amazing platform 😊. Having friends on workplace are the things I also looking for. Though its not a place for friendship but It is a big help on your work.
My next step? I plan to take a rest first. Go home in my province together with my family. Then after energizing my self maybe I look for another opportunity. But at that period I will be busy blogging I think 😊.
Still can remember those days we were stuck inside the project side because of covid patient 1! 🤣 Grateful to have met you there. Hopefully, you had a better ending with the company compared to mine. Congratulations on lasting 3 months there. Ikaw na. Take all the break you need. You deserve it!

Wow~ that is a really amazing team you got there. At the same time looking at how the company provides all these team building events will sure make you miss the people around you. 3 years time is a time frame when you get to know the people around you by heart. You have your circle at that point.
The funny thing about work is that as long as you are in that field of expertise, you will always bump into each other as you move in to your career. In the end you realize how small the world is too. :)
Great photos too, own photos with an awesome story really brings reading your posts to life. I can almost visualize with the pictures I can animate and imagine what the vibe was like at that time.
Thanks a lot for such a nice post and congratulations on completion of one chapter of you worklife! After the break I am so curious what you will go after next. Keep us posted!!!
Your right, Construction industry small, maybe we could meet in other projects and team again.
