@livinguktaiwan and I have been discussing on a new category to expand our Hive community. Both of us have the same goal... we want to create more engagement. Why? We want the Hive Platform to grow both financially and demographically. The answer to making it a step closer to happen? Create more communities that can create more interests and overall fun as well.
I have been posting a lot of my work experiences lately and been trying to find people with similar background. However, I noticed there is not much of a community related with design. For me this I see as an opportunity due to the fact I can create a designer focused lifestyle group.... but wait a minute. This is where both @livinguktaiwan synergy from our discord came about... There is no really who's idea it was and frankly it doesn't really matter but we came up with an idea why not have a community to tell stories about their job experiences here!!!
Everyone currently is employed or has experience of being employed right?
We wanted a community that everyone can relate to... a place to talk about work experience! Simple! Now... lets start building the marketing materials~
Designing graphics... artsy stuff is what I do. So we created ideas and started choosing what might work and what not. Basic choose and eliminate process. I would like to understand what others think as well... So we ask you. Which logo do you think looks good and best suits the vibe of our community? Top is Option A, and bottom is Option B. Let us know in the comments. :)

As for the newb I am, when it comes to the rules and structure of the community @livinguktaiwan has plenty of experience to describe it well on the board. We both have our roles and duties so its been working out pretty good and we are happy at the pace we are advancing.
The name story was pretty funny... at first we wanted to name the community WORK EXPERIENCES. And as I designed and started to put thing together I noticed something and let @livinguktaiwan know... "Hey sis. Ya know with our logo and everything... Its beginning to look awfully similar to our homie @galenkp 's community WEEKEND EXPERIENCES... both have "W.E" on them and both use experiences... hmmmmm... I think we are beginning to enter unknown territory. Even the logo was beginning to looks similar. hahahahahaha~
So I basically pulled the plug and started a redo. We wanted the name to be simple... and thus the name "WORKLIFE" (one word) was born. Much better~~~ its best to be flexible when you feel something aint right. Glad we changed it~ Pretty sure he was probably cool with it anyways, but still... we dont want x2 "W.E" Communities!!
Also now I can let people know about the Images and graphics all posted on WORKLIFE are officially licensed through my personal account I use for my professional design work. and below is a screenshot to prove to whom it may concern. :) If more info is needed please contact me anytime.

Your logo is way better than mine, but then again, I just make mine on canva so it's a bit rough around the edges, which is why I change it all the time.

I tend to keep things pretty simple in that regard, and to be honest am not one to put other people out when it's something I can do myself, even if I can't do it as well. I appreciate the offer though and to be honest, after seeing your logo and considering mine...Yeah, mine is rather shit isn't it. I might take you up on it after all. 🙃
Yea man~ this is what it should be all about. We help one another with the skills we know. And yea if you try to do it yourself it will take much longer~ But I give kudos to your will...to try and do things in your own way of things. I can arrange some graphics I had when we were brainstorming the W.E logo. hahahhaha~ that was pretty funny when I made it and asked @Livinguktaiwan. Something doesnt look right~~ wait a minute.... Weekend Experiences!!
OK let me see what I can do and take a deep dive into your logo. I will create some logic behind it and a logo draft. You can use or modify it in any way~ :) Time to read your mind through the art you composed~~~
I had a bit of a laugh thinking about y'all sitting around thinking, yeah, it's all good, then...dang it, back to the drawing board! I would have been like, ok, someone order pizza and garlic bread, we're in for a long bloody night! 🤣

Awesome initiative dude. Sharing work experience seems a good idea. Now people can share their worklife through this community.
As for the logo I like both of the designs.But I will vote for the second one.In the first logo the word work life is hidden but in the second one It's just abbreviation W.L which is easy to catch.
So my vote is for option B.

I think there is something to learn from everyone's work experience because work style is unique to everyone and the same methods can't be applied and expect the same results from another.
There are also really funny things that happens at work too. These kind of stories can light up our days and give us some extra inspiration and laughter throughout the day.
There is also the darker stories of how things went bad to worse. Office battles and politics... Some of the most heartless, ugliest things come from work too. We all experienced the ups and the downs.
I think it can be so dynamic!!! :)
Ahhh you choose option B~~ now things are getting interesting.
Yeah people have different stories in their work places.It comprises of good & bad ,humourous & humiliating.Stories gonna be enjoyable.
Everyday, finding a good topic to write a post is a tough job.W.L will give us chance to share to a post everyday as there must a story at work place.So need not to think about what to post. Awesome!

I really like this community idea, man. People can also tell funny stories that happened to them while they were working and it will be a lot of fun!
As for the logo design, I think the option you used for the cover photo looks really nice. I mean the top one. I hope your community will be really successful. It seems like it will be a great pleasure to be part of this community. If I can find the photos soon, I can talk about a work experience I had a few years ago.
This is one of the main features I would like to introduce because aside from all serious business work talk we also need to have something that can enlighten peoples heart and give us some laughter's as we read stuff here. I am going to try and find some of my funny days~~~ so help me out brotha too!!! :)

I also do some marketing related design stuff for my company and I love your second logo, it's striking and it doesn't leave anyone guessing, the colour scheme is great too.
There is so much that people can relate and I am sure that WorkLife will be an excellent place to share experiences that could help everyone learn, that for me is one of the best things about Hive - the ability to gain insight from others through engagement. I've got some interesting stories that I can share too, so will definitely be popping in and subscribing to the community, I'm sure it's bound to do really well!

You know I have been noticing that does logo visuals selection choices seems to have a gender type? Most guys are selecting Option A, and most girls are choosing Option B... hmmmmm. That is so weird and cool... Can it be???

Can't say it any more perfect than that Emma. The things I love about the posts in Hive is that each engagement and the more I do... I learn something and I notice I do apply what I read on some days and I feel.... like... whoa.. that's interesting. Its hard to explain but I think there is something about reading your friends post and comments compared to just talking about it.
I think there is some kind of deep thought here where when we write we just dont bla bla bla bla. We rethink what we need to say and then type then into the blog so in a way as I type my blog about my life I get to re-evaluate it as well..... Some new thoughts start to emerge. I have been noticing this and I think it I would like share this....not sure what to call it. But its there.... :)

Thanks for your reply, that is a very interesting observation and I think I can add to it. The first option is very feminine in style with the curves and the flow, whereas the second one is far more masculine, it has sharp edges and each letter is distinctly separate from the next, maybe that has something to do with it?
I couldn't agree more with what you have said there - Hive is definitely more indepth and because you are writing a substantial entry and can delve into your thought process, it not only feels far more meaty than the conventional social media, but you can actually get a much better idea of the writer and it provides more opportunity to connect with them.
That is so true that we get to re-evaluate things in life through writing about them, I have definitely experienced that. One of my recent posts was exactly that - assessing some of my own actions and finding that they had a lot left to be desired. I also don't feel embarrassed about being raw here as I feel that it's that kind of thing (being vulnerable) that we need more of in the world, it shows our humanity and that we aren't just robots going through the motions.
I'm not sure what to call it either but I totally get what you are saying. I think it is refreshing!

The option A logo is a lot better to me.

I like the top one, but probably the bottom one is more clear with the L. Hard choice!
I know right? The top one fits very nicely with the stationary of stuff around since it is more geometric in nature with our browsers boarders and windows.
However the other option has more Human in it... raw. looks nice alone.. but when grouped it looses some of the visual effect.
If you look at the choices people made... All guys are choosing Top, and all girls are choosing Bottom. So cool yea?? and so amazing... why??? :) In to the Rabbit hole!!!!!!

Girls are smarter? :) I realize that we also known as men, are just boys running around looking for trouble. Maybe girls can spot a Good logo where guys can only see Cool logos? hehehehehe.
hehe I was thinking if it is something to do with the way the brains work, women like certain shapes better , men more receptive to less clear designs. In marketing , the use of colours based on gender/moods etc is also well researched.
I learned that in design school as well... however when we applied that to the real world..... the results were always inconsistent due to so many other variables effecting the decision... such as sociological, mega trends, and cultural sentiments. So in reality..... we still dont know......😂😂😂

I love the idea for this community folks and working alongside @livinguktaiwan Well, that can only go well, she is one of my favorites on Hive, always positive and sticking up for people when needed. I prefer option B, I think it stands out more and just looks better to my eye. Wishing all the very best for the new community.

Definetely, I have been doing something similar with music using the #threetunetuesday tag. I might look into trying to turn it into a community - people are telling me I should, we currently get 20 to 30 unique posts per week on that tag, which basically asks people to nominate three songs and talk about them, sing them or share them...
Anyway enough about #threetunetuesday and back to #worklife, I will definitely be back at some stage to write a post about my line of work.. Cheers
I think you should give it a shot. I play Ukulele if it helps. :) I believe if there is any time to create a community now is the time.
Hive is still small enough to be like family yet it has the potential to grow exponentially rapid... I am not very good at writing blogs and it takes me days to write one blog content. However I think currently the community here people are nice and committed... its something new and I really would like to preserve such platform so I am trying my part to contribute both monetarily and by becoming a maker.
To be honest, I am scared shitless too... but I think I would like to try my best and if it doesn't work out at least I can say I actually tried my best... and move on. If I dont then it will always be wishful thinking. Woulda, Coulda, Shoulda.... That I dont want to be.
Places like YouTube is a bloody red ocean everybody is on top of another... I like more focused and a bit smaller at the moment so I can learn from it too. If you might need some help with graphics or logo let me know~ and I can join your community too since I play music... a little. :)
