Why do some families stay wealthy and powerful for many generations when most stay poor? The secret lies in rich people's behavior. They are far less needy than you are. The powerful basically don't give a fuck. This attitude lets them take greater risks, even risk death, to maximize their wants. And because of that, they succeed. In every dealing with other people, the powerful make sure they are the less needy party, and so, the rich win almost every conflict.
