Good morning, quick video this morning as I was waking up into the first coffee of the day. I was just firing up my default audio recording app to drop dayle a little encrypted audio message of the day into our chat when I noticed that audio hijack had an update!
Rogue amoeba apart from having the best name for a company on the internet produce some fucking kick ass software. I’ve been using a number of their tools for years, probably a decade in fact, not sure certainly feels that way.
I was really concerned when they got bought out that they would quickly devolve a little into just price gouging the apps and not actually put much value back to the users but this latest beta update is quite special! :)

Yep, you heard me right you can now stream straight out of hijack this to an RTMP server, that means most streaming services including vimm. Maybe this easy to use tool will finally open the door for the average noob who loves GUI to actually get setup to not only stream for the first time but you could just get a live podcast up and out there — super neat.
Need to have a play with this of course but I’m gonna give it a go today and see what we can do with this. I’m certainly thinking that something like YouTube this is a quick win and means you can just have a basic setup, fire up the stream, get talking and at the end of it have a video to embed — that alone to me is super interesting.
Especially when you consider that you can bolt in things like farrago as a soundboard as well, the possibilities are endless with this thing.

cannot get the album art to work but that might be a conflict on the new version of vlc that came out, if that's the case i'd rather get a lua script going that does it, one i have makes file files so i just need to get the format the same as what the app looks for and i think that might work better -- seems like vlc rips the image from the mp3 file.
