SourceHave you ever woken up to a very bad day? You know that day you aren’t in the mood for anything and you feel tiredness seeping in to take you captive and you want to allow it all in but you are angry, sad, and emotional for no reason.
You feel that feeling of Perhaps and Indifference that you feel the urge to be wicked and mind your business also, leaving you in a mess when the day hasn’t even started.
That bad day was yesterday and those feelings were mine and I knew I woke up from the wrong side of the bed, I wasn’t just in the mood for anything, and to make things worse, I got a call from a very close friend but I was in the shower when the call came in and so I decided to call back but I noticed I didn’t have airtime on the first sim so I decided to try out the second knowing fully I had no airtime on it and then bam!!!! The call went through.
Yes, you read right, it went through and it got me surprised which made me end the call to see why the call had gone through by dialing the code to view my account balance, what I saw almost drove me crazy, all I could see was red and I was so enraged that I wish I wasn’t going to work so that I could go to the call center.
It was funny how I cleaned my eyes 3 to 6 times to be sure I saw things correctly and still it was the same which made me pause to comprehend what my eyes just saw but then my phone rang and I picked up to talk to my friend but I wasn’t myself and he felt it too as he tried calming me down but I was too angry to listen of which I told him we'd talk later.
I could feel hot steam leaving my ears as if a volcano just erupted as my shaky hands dialed the Customer representative number but the first trial didn’t go through as I got the number wrong so I decided to try another which went through and I had to go through the agonizing moment of listening to the bot speak some sort of jargons as every cell in my body screamed, “just get me connected to someone!” and as fate would have it, I got connected after a long excruciatingly century of waiting, and to tell you, the person who picked up the call did receive a huge blow as I was on raging fire and he tried, Lord knows how he tried to calm me but I wouldn’t have it, what happened was something huge I kick against and his pleas fell on deaf ears.
How dare they! What nonsense! Why would their system feel so nice and amazing to recharge #1000 which is approximately $3 in my account when I didn’t ask for it thereby leaving me in plain misery of paying back the money I never borrowed?
The Representative kept apologizing saying it was a system malfunction and that I shouldn’t be angry but all I felt was my emotions pouring out.
What I said may not be a big deal to you but it is a bigger deal to me as I frown against the word Debt, that doesn’t mean I don’t borrow people's money or hate the people who borrow, No! I believe everyone has their reasons and I don’t blame them as the world we are in now has pushed even the second class into borrowing money online but, I will never do it and that is why I pray to God that I don’t find myself in a situation that will prompt me into going into debt as I won’t be okay and will lose my sanity if it ever happens.
We all grew up differently with different mindsets and opinions towards some things in life which brings us to my "No" word to the word debt as even my spirit does not align with it, I’d rather starve than owe someone cos even if I intend to borrow to fill my hunger, I won’t be able to eat in peace as this deals with my emotions, the people closest to me know this and I have friends who find it safe to keep money with me as they know when it is time for them to have it, I would give it to them exactly as they gave it to me.
I know some may find it hard to understand why debt riles me up so much and makes me crazy but what I know is this, I have never felt that pain I felt yesterday as I completely lost it and it affected my mood for the day that I had to tell the Customer Representative that I want to see my transaction history of which he pleaded that the system was down but gave me a code to try out later and before I ended the call, I told him to write out my number in bold and have it pasted on their notice board and every other place to tell others to beware as I won't be nice if such a thing occurs again.
I had to get funds to pay up immediately and my mood was so sour even when I got to work, I was quiet and more of a human which scares my co-workers as I was an alien as far as they are concerned.
The feeling I had was alien to me and I had to pick myself up as it wasn’t me, I was so normal that it hurts my inner mind but I did have a change of positive mood after constantly reminding myself that it wasn’t my fault and that I had it paid which woke my alien side up to give my co-workers exactly what they deserve… I ended my day with a smile and lots of mischievous laughter which made things better.
My day got better which was good and I had to learn that even when we kick against some things in life, we do not know what life has in stock for us.

It is more like that tiny little voice in one head that says, "try using this one" because it wants you to find out and add more pepper to your already peppered day😂😂..

You are a hidden Karen. People in call centers are used to it, they are like personal boxing bags, people call, take their anger out and hang up. I'm glad it's all good after that. 😂😂

Eeyah, I can totally relate to something like this and which makes me end up saying I woke up at the wrong side of the bed. It's really frustrating to see something of such happened to you when you know how debt is to you. I don't like going into debt too because by the time I want to pay, I would be like “this money could have been mine if I hadn't borrowed it”
For me, I just try my best to be on a positive side as it could affect and ruin my day and I wouldn't want that. Sorry about that.

That's a terrible feeling. Having to pay up money you didn't use or budget for is the worst kind of pain.

I wish more people had that type of reaction to debt. Debt is difficult to avoid but unnecessary debt is annoying! I can understand your frustration with the company charging you when they shouldn’t have, that is very annoying. Try not to explode on the customer service person at the company though, I’ve worked that type of stuff and we can help fix it but it’s not our fault! Lol

You had a really bad day. No doubt about that. We all have things we don't ever want to be associated with and it's easy to get fired up when those things gets get associated with us. I'm just thinking of the dude in customer care who was caught in this crossfire 😂. Omoh! That's something!
