What life throws at people

It is my pleasure to join this wonderful community,it is my first time here and i hope you enjoy reading. Presently in my country, living the life you so desire is impossible because the economy is unstable and the citizens find it difficult to enjoy life at it best,in some states the basic amenities for healthy living is not available people are struggling to meet their needs and survive through the hard times. We cannot go out as wished because the transportation fare is high, people cannot eat what they want because the cost of food is higher than some people's earnings and savings.

The government decided to change the country's currencies with little notice to the citizens and the old currencies was banned as legal exchange, this became a burden to all the citizens because they have no access to the new notes,in the struggle to access cash for daily activities which seems impossible the banks which would have been an option started malfunctioning ,transfer from one bank to another isn't going through and the citizens started getting frustrated. Everything seems not working and the government fails to recognise this, all they care about is themselves and this is putting the lives of the citizens in jeopardy.

During the rallies for election, each candidate came out with their juicy manifestoes and this is how it has always been but immediately they are voted into power they tends to forget all they promised and turn deaf ears to the people's complains. Presently to eat three times in a day is a miracle because people can't afford it. The cost of living is on the high side, sales isn't moving well for the traders because there isn't enough money in circulation, we are going through what we call "shege" meaning hell in my country.

After the presidential election, the government decided to revive the old currencies they banned, it was announced that both the old and new currencies should be a legal tender for exchange but funny enough both the old and the new notes are not in circulation which makes the situation even worse. This has led some people into depression and has deteriorate their health. The only source of happiness is living the day as it comes without thinking of the hardship we are going through, hangout with friends and families and spend quality time together to while away time. We only wish we get out of this stress very soon so that we can have our lives back and peace of mind.

I think the post worked this time :D

The situation with currency in Nigeria is very unfortunate and very much because it’s completely unnecessary! Bureaucrats like to mess with people sadly and I think that’s wrong. There didn’t seem to be a good reason to do it other than to inflict unnecessary pain and trauma to people which is heart breaking.

The best thing we can do is focus on our local politics and elections. If we choose leaders in our local area that have our values and can push for changes, the more local neighborhoods do that the stronger the change gets and it will eventually overwhelm the states and national elections. It’s a lot of effort but we have to do it!
