Besides having the pleasure of white stuff falling off the sky, I had the pleasure to watch some local parrots next to Giannas house yesterday. I haven't told you yet. Sorry. I also didn't tell you that the battery of my future working vehicle also died yesterday. π€ I wonder if it has something to do with me? We took the other Van.

Since the 1970's you can find swarms of rose-ringed parakeets (Psittacula krameri) in the city of Heidelberg. They colonized throughout Europe and we have around 11.000 in Germany.
They are cute little fellas, loud and noisy but fun to watch. It's kinda weird though. You stand on a cold, grey, wet day in an urban, middle nice area. The trees are blank, few colors to see. Then you hear screams, funny noises coming from the sky. You look up in the attempt to detect the source. That's when the swarm of colorful, green, happy birds head dive towards you. Just for the shits and giggles. Little punks! Ghetto birds lol. The pigeons and crows around were not amused. The hood got invaded.
I think they are nesting in those little holes. Next time I come around them I will try to get some better shots. Even the best smartphone cam has it's limits under certain conditions.

That's crazy, there are parakeets flying around? I didn't think they could survive anything besides a tropical climate lol really cool!
They are more resilient than we think lol. But it is still is odd when you see them fly around. I would feed them so they hang out on my balcony if I would be resident...and decorate with palm trees...ultimate tropical feeling π .
