Sometimes I wonder how negative some people are. Like, everything you do or happen to them is seen as something bad for them, no matter how much you fight, do, or try to change, nothing is good, nothing is cool! It drives me crazy with rage. What's been happening is that, at my work, we have some people like that. Since I work as a programmer, there's always this eternal war between development and the testing department, and, like, the tester sees everything as negative, as if it's the development team's soft spot.
A culture has been created that development has to deliver everything perfectly the first time, and, like, that doesn't exist! Sometimes we manage to get things done the first time, but that doesn't always happen, and so, the people in the testing department are always complaining, saying that everything is poorly done, that nothing we've implemented is good, and I keep thinking, wow, what's that all about? We try our best, one way or another, but there's no way the developer can know exactly how the store will flow, the place where our system will be installed, so we need help understanding that.
And these negative people are complicated because of this. You can't ask anything, you can't talk about creating something new that's better or that will make something easier, or you'll soon hear a complaint, a sigh, and that really irritates me. After all, some things are created this way, gradually, one step at a time. The system is gradually improved and new implementations are approved. But no, people are always complaining, saying this or that can't be done, while the devs and I are just trying to improve everything.
I believe these people are overly negative, and I'm not just talking about thoughts like "it's going to fail." It goes much further than that. It happens almost every day. I hear negative things, disbelief in my service, in my work, and it hurts me a little because I always try to do my best to help the company and bring in money and resources, to improve for everyone. But the ignorance and negativity of some team members discourages me from staying here and trying to do more. Unfortunately, there's no way to ask the company owner to fire these people, so we have to live with it, even if it's a pain.
Maybe I'll try to talk directly to these people, expose the problems and maybe that way the coexistence will improve, but honestly I don't believe that things can improve.

Às vezes fico pensativo em como algumas pessoas são negativas. Tipo, tudo o que você faz ou acontece é visto como algo ruim para elas, não importa o quanto você lute, faça ou tente mudar, nada está bom, nada está bacana! Isso me deixa maluco de raiva. O que tem acontecido é que, no meu trabalho, temos algumas pessoas assim. Como trabalho sendo programador, existe sempre a eterna guerra entre o desenvolvimento e o departamento de testes e, tipo, a pessoa que testa vê tudo como negativo, tudo como se fosse corpo mole do time de desenvolvimento.
Criou-se uma cultura de que o desenvolvimento tem que entregar tudo perfeito de primeira e, tipo, isso não existe! Às vezes conseguimos fazer as coisas de primeira, mas não é sempre que isso acontece e assim, as pessoas que são do departamento de teste vivem reclamando, falando que tudo está mal feito, que nada do que implementamos é bom e eu fico pensando, caramba, como assim? Tentamos fazer o nosso melhor, de um jeito ou de outro, não tem como o desenvolvedor saber exatamente como será o fluxo da loja, do lugar onde o nosso sistema estará instalado, então precisamos de ajuda para entender isso.
E essas pessoas negativas são complicadas por isso, você não pode perguntar nada, não pode falar em criar algo novo que seja melhor ou que vai facilitar em algo que logo você já escuta uma reclamação, um suspiro e isso me irrita demais. Afinal, algumas coisas são criadas assim, gradualmente, um passo de cada vez, com calma o sistema vai sendo melhorado e novas implementações vão sendo homologadas, mas não, o povo está lá sempre reclamando, falando que não pode isso ou aquilo, sendo que eu e os devs estamos somente tentando melhorar tudo.
Acredito que essas pessoas são negativas demais e não falo somente de pensamentos do tipo “vai dar errado”, vai muito além disso, é quase todo dia, escuto coisas ruins, descrença em meu serviço, em meu trabalho e isso me magoa um pouco porque tento sempre fazer o meu melhor para auxiliar a empresa e trazer dinheiro e recursos para ela, para melhorar para todos, mas a ignorância e negatividade de alguns membros da equipe desanimam em tudo, em continuar aqui em tentar fazer mais. Infelizmente, não tem como solicitar para o dono da empresa mandar essas pessoas embora, então conviver é preciso, mesmo que seja um saco.
Talvez eu tente conversar diretamente com essas pessoas, expor os problemas e assim quem sabe a convivência melhore, mas sinceramente estou desacreditado que as coisas possam melhorar.

I tend to avoid the negative people as much as possible. Who needs more people like that to ruin your day? Talking to them might help, but I wouldn't count on it. It might make them worse!

That's exactly right. I've tried talking about it a few times, both directly with the people involved and with my superiors, but unfortunately nothing has been resolved. In any case, I try to do my job as best I can and avoid these people.

Yeah.. that type of stuff sucks. It really brings down the team! We had a few negative Nancy's where we used to work and it was brutal. They got let go though, which worked out for us lol
Haha, in the end everything worked out for you, then xD I don't think the person in question needs to be fired, but I would really like her to change her way of thinking and see that the team is always trying to do more and better, so if she stopped complaining and criticizing so much, we could do a lot of cool things at the company.
