There is playing games on a computer and then there is being a Gamer. Two totally different people.
I know a few that had bought a monitor like you show. While nice, I found it too big when I sat at their computer. But, saying that, for some gamers, 3 monitors is a must for streaming, say on Twitch.
Do you need that to stream and game? Heck no. Is it something some would want, but depends on how into gaming you are, or digital art too? Editing video's larger monitors work great also.
I also know many people who will buy gaming computers because they are usually built better and last longer.
Saying all that.. My computer is on its last leg. 10 years and soon, one morning, it will not start. And I will not be spending 4k on a new computer. :D but would. LOLL

Give me some hiking boots, a backpack filled with the appropriate gear and the wilderness over gaming screens any day. Although, I did gain some satisfaction when I obliterated that big boss in Killzone all those years ago. 😆
its a balance like anything else. I love being outside. I can listen to the sound of leaves and birds all day. Hubby and I use to go camping every year and have a blast. Though I would rather have a flushing toilet...
