Last week I wrote about @clareartista and I deciding to spend two nights in a local hotel, to briefly escape the chaos and discomfort of our new land.
It's now 4 days later and we are feeling a lot better.
Eventhough we had to move back into our tent again, 3 nights ago, the metaphorical dust seems to have settled a bit. We managed to recharge our energy and calm our nerves.
It also does help that the Autumn weather turned calm and sunny, once again. Less wind and no rain has made it quite a lot easier to sleep and that changes everything.
The two nights in a hotel room also gave us some much needed perspective and even led to us hearing about a possible rental house as well as checking it out, right after leaving our hotel room.
Although the rental wasn't really what we're looking for, it reminded us that things can be found (relatively) easily, once we set our mind to them. It also assured us that we will have a dry, cosy place to stay in when the weather really turns Autumny/Wintery in the coming months.
This, in turn, will take off the pressure of having to have everything ready soon on our new land. Something that just isn't realistic at all
Yesterday it was my birthday and Clare and I had a nice time exploring some new places in the area and making some new connections with like minded souls. At night we topped it off with pizza and a drink ( or two ) in town.
Our visit to town and us spreading the word about the two of us still sleeping in a tent on our land l, due to the only building out there not being Winter proof, eventually led to two other possible rental houses coming our way.
Let's say that the news spreads quickly in a small town like this
It seems like these two options sound even more interesting than the first place we checked out, 3 days ago, so fingers crossed.
TO BE CONVINUED...
Small towns can be useful like that (I come from a VERY small town), though word spreading fast can be both good and bad XD (a couple of my friends from that selfsame small town left permanently with not great memories because sometimes people like to just repeat whatever nonsense they hear and believe it without bothering to check if it's actually the case).
Hope you get a good rental so you have enough time to do up your house properly :)
Thank goodness! I have been worried about the pair of you!
Awww, thanks for thinking of us, dear @shanibeer 🤗 We both have a relatively high tolerance for natural rhythms, but most certainly will get a place that is more secure for the colder (and wilder) months 💒⛪🏫🏡🏠
❤️
Oh goodness yes I was wondering how long you'd last in the tent... This will give you some time to sort out a bit more of a comfy structure to love in when the the weather gets better.
Yes! 🥰🥳🌟
We are doing it all, piano-piano. Every day feels like a newer and better version of our co-created reality, Beloved: bravi noi!
That's a wise choice to eventually move there and slowly sort things out for the next year, things in a rush don't come out well
We would probably still be on our land almost every single day but yeah it would sure take off some of the (time) pressure.
Buonanotte!
Grazie mille, @ewkaw
