Market Friday: Orange Approach on my way for New Year

in Market Friday3 years ago

Greetings to every #hive family here, how're you all doing with your family and relations in this new beginning of 2022. Am glad to always be with all my friends here #marketfriday which you can follow @dswigle to see other people's market points of view across the globe. Before i forget happy new year and welcome to 2022 to all my friends from #hive, #ecency, #peakd, #steem, #hiveblog, and many others.
Let me brief you a little, as i was going to my mothers' town (Ebonyi State) from Benue State Nigeria for the celebration of the new year and as well to see old friends. On my way going, following Otukpo road Benue state. I approached a large number of marketers at Otukpa's small village market. I saw a large quantity of oranges there.

I later asked one of the marketers about the market and she told me that the Otukpa small village market along with Otukpo road Benue state is a market where the villagers of Otukpa are allowed to sell any little items they produced from their farms in order for them to use the little money to be assisting their families.

I bought a bucket of orange at $0.6 and i was told by the marketers that five pieces of orange is sold $0.13.
When i pilled one of these oranges, i discovered that the orange is a very sweet one which guanranteed so many people within the country to buy from them at most time.

Happy New Year to you!! We made it to the other side! Thank you for posting on the #MarketFriday challenge. I know this is an especially busy time of year, so I am pleased that you took the time. To be honest with you, it touches my heart that it has continued for so long, and yet, almost every single person gives me something fresh and interesting. Many people really thought it would run its course of markets and end, but, everyone that participates has proven this theory wrong. With Christmas just past and New Year upon us, I wanted to take a moment to say thank you. Thank you so much for helping make this challenge a success. Without your help, it would be just another place to post. It is people like you that have given it a recognizable name. Thank you!

#MarketFriday began as a way to reach out across the globe and learn about different cultures through their markets, especially local markets and farmers markets and eventually branching out and evolving over time from straight shopping to a cultural affair as it highlights how we differ and then again, how much we are alike. We have become a melting pot of culture, but, it is still the Rituals, Festivals, food, architecture, even your language/languages that separate us... Along with the fact of what is these things are normal for us. There are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. A strong culture can be beneficial to a country as it promotes unity, especially during a crisis, peaceful debate, and open dialogue. I have learned so much about all of you and it has been an amazing experience. I can only hope that learning about each other can help us work together for a peaceful world.
