So here's my #marketfriday post hosted by @dswingle and here is HER for the week, complete with rules ;)
I want to just start by saying, I forgot to actually take any pictures other than the ones I was sending to hubs to see what he thought of things. Weird, I know, but I was hanging out with a couple friends and I just got lost in the actual interaction with my pals!
But we made the trip 'off Cape' and over the bridge, and the hour long drive to get to the superstore.

It's my birthday month and I am an Ikea family club member so they sent me a $10 off coupon! Last year, we took a trip so I could use it and then I forgot I had it until we were nearly home. This year I wanted to be sure to use it.
Hubs wanted more of these shelves (actually they are spice racks, I guess).

I wasn't really sure where they were, but if you've been to Ikea more than once, you may have noticed they like to change some things.

I saw these, thought maybe they were a re-design...

but, I found the proper shelves, after all! $5.99 per shelf. I saw a 'hack' online to actually hang these 'upside down' in order to make it a shelf PLUS a rod to hang things from, which I thought was pretty cool.
The shelves were my mission, but I was also in the market for some nice glass storage for leftovers.

These were $1.49 each!!! They're about the size of a sandwich (17oz. says the label).

Originally I wanted to ones with the bamboo lids. There were more sizes but the lid was sold separately and so expensive! About $3-4 for the container and another $3-4 per lid!!
No thanks.
Once we made our way out of the showrooms and towards the cafeteria, we passed through the kids section last.
We don't have kids. We have dogs. Let me just tell you, our dogs LOVE the toys from the kids section.

This is a smaller version of one we bought for our pups. Orbit, our Boston, uses it to put himself to sleep at night.

I thought I'd get the smaller one for the pug, but didn't. I was determined to stick to my budget.
Of course then I came across this tunnel!

I immediately had visions of the dogs running through this and playing in the yard. Then that was quickly replaced with the time we bought a kiddie pool for the hot summer we first adopted Orbit and all he did was bark at the thing!
As much as I wanted to test it out, for $18 I again decided to stick to the plan: shelves and food storage only!
In the end, I only spent $23, after using my coupon! You should know that there was a time we went for plates, to replace a couple broken ones. By the time we checked out, we had a full carriage and spent well over $100. Ikea is my shopping kryptonite! I HATE shopping, but Ikea has a place in my heart, bringing me back to when we first bought our house and the excitement of that new beginning and making something our own.
Though I really flaked on the 'whole experience' of it all in photos, I hope you enjoyed my excitement of staying in budget.
OOHHH...EDIT:
I totally forgot I also picked up these little sticky hooks to use...somewhere. I was thinking in my studio, but who knows.

For 99 cents for a 3 pack, I figured I could find a use for them ;)
It's hard to stay within budget in this store. you did it! 😁👍
