RE: Frederiksted, St. Croix with Market Friday

in Market Fridaylast year

It really seems that Covid had some far reaching and long lasting impact on pretty much every part of the globe. I hope I can get to the Caribbean some day. My dad visited there when he was in the Navy. It looks like a really beautiful place. I think my wife had a cousin that live there, but they have since moved to Chicago, so visiting them is probably out of the question!

I love visiting the different parts of the Caribbean. Each island has its own culture and they are different and always interesting. There is no doubt there is a lot of poverty in different parts, but, most have a good attitude about life and don't let the little things get in the way of happiness.

I hope you do get down here, and I think you would love it, given your love for history and culture.

Thanks for stopping by! Below, I sent you some feral chickens and chicks. They roam freely around all the islands and many downtowns. I guess if you got hungry enough, they would make a great meal. They eat all the bugs, so they are a great asset! These are downtown right near the beach. :)

#MarketFriday loves you!

That is cool that they just let the chickens roam like that. I was reading about a city a while ago that uses goats to graze on vacant lots to keep the blight down. It seems like a great idea!

They did that in Texas! I thought it was hilarious. :)

It also is a great idea the serves to wash both hands.

Almostvevery Caribbean island I have been to plus South America and Mexico has feral chickens. I agree with you! Great idea!
