Market Friday Moving Fun!

I rented a spot at a storage facility. I have to be honest it is down right creepy in there at night! Not in the woo-hoo ghost kind of way, but in a only person in this huge facility that has lots of sound, kind of way! Lots and lots of sounds and no one is meant to be in there...kind of reminds me of the Shining!

Hellooo there fellow Hivers!

Welcome to my Market Friday!!!

Today we are all about moving and storing! In this age of Covid 19, you cannot be too careful. That is why I wear a pair of Gorilla No Slip gloves. The are so thin you can feel just like it was your bare fingers! I really love them and think it is smart to take a pair with you wherever you go!.. For around 6 bucks, how can you beat that!?! Here is an Amazon link to get your own pair (be mindful of the sizes!) https://amzn.to/3dDS7Kg

The inside part is all the grippy stuff, like you can open any jar in the world with them!

Pretty cool looking no?

Let me say a special thank you to the lovely @dswigle for putting in the effort to make Market Friday a happy place!

Now it is a good bet that you will need shelving if you are moving or storing a load of crap like I do. Oh yes the urge to hoard is strong with this one LOL. No, I just hate to throw away stuff that I bought and paid for that work. That and sentimental stuff from relations that have passed.

I got these at Menards and got the 11% rebate that takes it down to 35 bucks or so.

I really am a fan of strong plastic shelving. I have used them for years in my shop. Yes you can do as good with a bunch of scrap wood perhaps, but the winning part of these is the ability to setup and tear down in less than five minutes.

So in essence you can tear them down and take them with you easily and in a compact manner when you move! And...200 pounds per shelf, well that is a lot of crap!!!

Finally you need a spot to store all of your earthly treasures! I got a nice climate controlled 12.5' by 20' bay for just under 200 bucks a month including insurance.

Gosh, I have this storage space which I've had for years! It makes me wonder if I really need the contents inside it. And I pay $200 a month for space. I have been procrastinating... but I wonder if there is a company that will haul all the contents out for free and they can get everything inside the unit. And that is after I've taken those that I treasure most out of storage, LOL.
Have a great day, and take care @old-guy-photos 🥰🌺🤙

When they went up on their rates, I was anal enough to open up my 20x40 shed and go through it all, closing out my unit and coming home with $$ from Craigslist. @silversaver888

I love those gorilla gloves! They really do work well, especially for what you are doing! I had a storage unit like that and I truly get what you mean about it being creepy, but, I have talked myself into knowing it is just the rats running along the metal framing.

Or something like that.

Just kidding, although do check on your belongings now and again. I no longer have the storage unit, but someone in on had a mouse eat something of theirs. Yikes! Just the thoughts was enough to creep me out! In all the years I have used one, that was a first.

I have to think that this is the first step in the big move. I wish you well!! Don't overstress your body!

Thank you so much for taking the time to join the challenge! I appreciate the love and support you are giving to #MarketFriday! Without you and people like yourself, I wouldn't be able to have such a successful challenge! I know that at this time, it is harder to find something to fit the challenge. On a good day, it takes a lot of time and effort to be part of, so it means a lot to me that you participate. I hope you know that there is great latitude in what Market means. It can be typical of where you shop for food, or it can be a unique place that you visit. Thank you again for being a part of all this and I hope that you will, indeed, have a great day and week ahead! If you or any of your friends are in doubt about how to participate, this should clear it all up!

Fridays are all about the #MarketFriday Challenge! Looking to take part in it? Here is how:

Those gloves aren't pretty but seem like a great idea to have around.

Only $200 a month?? LOL... that don't sound cheap to me ! ... but I realize it is sometimes a necessary evil.

Too hot to be moving stuff !

I laughed at The Shining comment. There are certainly a lot of odd sounds in a storage facility!

I guess those gloves are designed for touch screen nowadays.
