Hello dear @oniemaniego, thank you for sharing your experience, the Guinea crop has adequate protein percentages as long as it is supplied with the right giblets, despite this, it is important what you mention of diversifying forage sources rich in protein. A few years ago I visited an experimental station here in Venezuela and they were using Leucaena leucocephala which is a shrub legume that has an acceptable protein percentage.

My recommendation, that you locate local plant resources that adapt very well to the climatic conditions to have acceptable yields and be able to efficiently support your goats.
