Dear hivers. It has been a while now since I dropped my last post. I never meant to stay up to this extent without making out time to interact with you guys. Well, I have been so busy with some things that I was not able to write another post.

Today, i am going to be talking on a topic called hepatitis. This disease have been on my mind to write on just that I have not gotten the time to sit down and read a little more on that. Well here I am trying to pen it down.

Join me as we go down to discuss this wonderful topic and what it is all about.

What is hepatitis

Hepatitis is a viral inflammatory disease of the liver. A disease known to be very dangerous when it comes to liver destruction. Today in our environment, hepatitis has been the major contributing factor of liver diseases we have.

According to world health organization (WHO),over 354 million people today are living with chronic hepatitis B and C globally.

Hepatitis as we all know can be caused by so many things. Which includes excessive alcohol consumption, medications and toxins.

Apart from the listed causes, autoimmune hepatitis is another main cause of hepatitis.
Autoimmune hepatitis is a type of hepatitis whereby your body produces antibody against your liver tissues therefore making it difficult for the liver to perform it's function.

Do you know that apart from hepatitis b and c there are so many other types of hepatitis which you may not know that exist. This includes, hepatitis A,D and E.
Though hepatitis B and C are regarded as the most dangerous types of hepatitis when it comes to liver damage.

Without wasting much of our time, my discussion today will be centering on hepatitis A,B and C.
Join me as we quickly go into details of each and everyone of this types of hepatitis.

Hepatitis A

This is a type of viral infection caused as a result of exposure to toxin, immune disease and alcohol misuse. It is an acute type of hepatitis that requires no treatment. It usually comes and goes away on its own without any treatment.

This type of hepatitis affect closely 1.5 million individual every year in the united state. One particular thing about this hepatitis is it's ability of spreading so fast. This type of hepatitis is gotten from contaminated water and food.

One good thing about this type of hepatitis unlike other types is it's inability to cause long term effect on human. It symptoms includes abdominal pain, flu-like symptoms, light coloured stool, dark urine, lose of appetite, and jaundice.

how is this virus contracted

This virus is gotten from a fecal matters that has this hepatitis A virus. Once this virus is contracted, it enters the bloodstream where it goes down to the liver triggering inflammation and swelling of the liver.

This virus can also be gotten from a personal contact with someone who has this virus already in them.

According to world health organization (WHO). 90 percent of children who lives in a country with poor sanitation are more prone to this virus than any other country.

Hepatitis B

Is a liver infection caused by hepatitis b virus. Among all other hepatitis, b and c are regarded as the most dangerous types of hepatitis.

According to center for disease control and prevention, 296 million people are living with hepatitis B nation wide while 1.5 million people where diagnosed of hepatitis B in the year 2019.

Unlike hepatitis A that is gotten from contaminated water and food, this hepatitis B is gotten from blood or through bodily fluid which includes semen or vagina fluid. It's symptoms includes
Fatigue, dark urine, joint pain, loss of appetite, fever, abdominal discomfort and yellowing of the eyes.

Hepatitis C

This is a blood borne viral inflammatory infection. As the definition implies, this disease can only be gotten from blood to blood contact that contains the viral infection. This viral infection is of two types which are acute and chronic infection.

Acute stage of hepatitis C usually comes with no symptoms or may be little symptoms that clears up after one week of infestation. The chronic stage of this disease also usually does not come with symptoms unless in it severe form.

The world health organization (WHO) also estimated that about 58 million individuals are suffering from chronic hepatitis C.

The symptoms of this disease includes dark urine, loss of appetite, jaundice, joint pains and fever.

In Conclusion

Hepatitis is a disease of the liver that has dealt with so many individuals as of today. I have come to realize that some persons don't really know much about this disease and it's mode of transmission.

This disease can be very dangerous if left untreated as it can lead to liver failure and other liver damages. I think is high time we utilize this opportunity to go to any medical or health sector to check ourselves anytime we start noticing any of the above mentioned symptoms.

Let us join hands together to eliminate this dangerous disease called hepatitis.

Thanks for reading

Nice information. But I am confused about one thing. The article reads:

According to center for disease control and prevention, 296 million people are living with hepatitis B nation wide

Which "nation"? There is a CDC in the United States. The US population is 332 million. So this means that 88% of the US population has hepititas B.

Perhaps you meant "world."
