Stepping into Something New

Hello, guys. Today, I am beginning something new although I'm kinda excited but a little bit worried. This is exactly how I am feeling now as I step into the Hive system for the second time since my first account (@jsalvage) has been compromised. For me, it seems like the first day of a student at school, hoping to make a good impression, but more importantly, hoping to be accepted just as I am, flaws and all.

So who I Am

To start with, my name is James Kaosisochukwu Onu, and I’m currently a final-year physiotherapy student at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. My journey is very clear; to learn every day about the amazing ways our body can heal and adapt to changes. So most of my days are always filled with classes, clinical postings where we demonstrate what we learn, and endless reading, at the end. When I don't feel like reading, I do write stories that connect health with our everyday life. With hope that these stories make health feel less intimidating and much more relatable for everyone here and beyond.

What You Can Expect from me

Well, here’s what I tend to share with you all in the coming weeks and months:
Health tips which I'll explain in a simple and not in medical jargon, just like a friend advising his pal from one to another.
I will as well share my personal stories and reflections from my life as a student, my clinical experiences, and all I learn along the way.

I also intend to share photography because I love capturing every moment of my life such as my environment , the smile of a patient, a sunset on campus, or the lively streets of my state, Enugu. Pictures say what words cannot, and I hope we all know that.

Why the new account

Some of you here already know me via my old account. Yes, but I must admit that my journey on Hive hasn’t been perfect lately. I have made so many mistakes that felt like setbacks. But each mistake was a lesson in disguise because it unlocked where I needed to to do better. I want to do it right. Starting with building genuine connections, share honestly from my heart, and grow with a community that values authenticity.

I know starting afresh will never be an easy one. But I'm here already to see how the following moment will be like for me. Although there ’s always that little voice of doubt, whispering questions like, “Will anyone care what I say? Will I fit in again?” But then I reminded myself why I started. I have got this desire to share my journey, help others learn, and be part of something bigger than myself.

So Join Me on This Journey

Hive means more than just a platform to me. For me, it's a community of people where we share our stories, ideas, and support. And I'm excited to join these conversations, hear your experiences, and hopefully inspire someone the way others have inspired me.
So If you choose to follow along, know this space will be open and real. I'm going to share my successes and struggles, what makes me proud and what challenges me because that is what real growth should look like.

And till then, I'll say a very big thank you so much for taking the time to read this. It means a lot. I look forward to meeting you in the comments, hearing your stories, and building something meaningful together.
