Marie Houdin is a dancer, choreographer, clubber and citizen dancer of the “All-World”. Since 2004, she has been developing her projects within Engrenage[s], a structure located in Rennes: creation of shows, artistic and cultural mediations, amateur creations, conferences, artistic direction of invitations to dance and events. Its artistic identity stems from the funk cultures of the USA, whose dances are assimilated to hip-hop culture in France. She develops an artistic, choreographic and educational approach fueled by research, training, meetings and research trips.
From 2013, she formulates "The Unexpected Dance", her own choreographic approach, around a heritage of creolized dances, born in Africa and in the Americas, popularized throughout the world, like dances assimilated to "hip -hop” in France.
From 2014, she directs her work towards public spaces to work around and from the social dimension of dance. Moreover, her vision of the world and of dance is marked by encounters with the cultures of the second lines of New Orleans, dance techniques developed by choreographers such as Germaine Acogny and Katerine Dunham, but also with poets and authors like Edouard Glissant. Driven by the idea of placing dance back at the heart of public spaces and at the heart of the social dimension of city life, she designs giant invitations to dance in public spaces in various cities in France ("Parade"), in collaboration with the brass band Fonk Nola for "Tombées de la Nuit" in Rennes or the “Giant Soul Train”, imagined at the invitation of Boris Charmatz for the “Fous de danse” in Rennes, Paris…).
As part of "The Unexpected Dance", Marie Houdin began in 2018 a video and sound collection of dances and stories between France, Senegal, Cuba and New Orleans, thus she is sometimes qualified as artist-anthropologist or historian. dance. This is a large-scale project, research and artistic exchanges giving rise to the creation of shows, international artistic exchanges and a video and digital project. This approach is supported by the French Institute/Brittany Region and the City of Rennes, but also by many partners in different countries. This research also informs his shows: Bal du “Tout-Monde” ‑2018 and Unexpected-2019.
In 2020 and 2021, she is carrying out two international choreographic exchange projects: "New Orleans Fever", supported by the American grant FACE-FUSED, taking place in New Orleans and France, and "Paz, unitad y amor", carried out with a Cuban artist and ballets from Cuba. These two projects generate many partners in France, the United States and Cuba, but they are postponed to 2022, in connection with the health context generated by COVID since 2020.
In 2022 – postponements from 2021- Marie Houdin invites three female dancers, and 3 videographers (in turn) around the research and creation project: “Caillou”, between Metropolitan France, Guadeloupe and Senegal. She should also continue her training in the Acogny technique, at the Ecole des Sables, in Senegal, in order to eventually pass it on.

Hello.
The above post is a 95% identical copy of that previous post.
The only difference is a few photo slides were swapped from the same photo session (from the same streak of photos).
I'm a photographer so what I share are photographs, not rocket science to understand it. I've been posting on Hive for more than 4 years and I've never seen any rule saying that you have to spend a minimum time writing a post (what should be relevant : 10 min, 1 hour, 6 hours?!?) nor forbidding to share more than a certain number of pictures from the same streak/session. Aren't you supposed to work against plagiarism and milking? I see a lot of poor content on Hive earning a lot of rewards : you don't take time to annoy them but you mess with content creators like me. According to your answer, you don't have any respect for photography as an artform.
Who are you to put judgment on my work ? As you're "in charge", I can only shut my mouth and accept what you decide (downvoting, blacklisting) because you have the "power" here? Who watches the watcher? It looks like facism when a person says what you can post or not, and seems really away from decentralization in my opinion.
The content was reported probably because it looked like effortless spam to double-dip the rewards.
Creating it and posting it would not take longer than 2-3 minutes.
Maybe you don't realize but doing a photoshooting with a pro dancer outside, under a blazing sun, during several hours is everything but effortless. Thanks again for denigrating my work and saying is this spam. I love when strangers insult my passion in particular, and Art in general.
And, thanks but no thanks, I'm not a snitch nor a rat.
