Hello to everyone in the Hive Pets community! Promise is a promise and today I finally bring you an article dedicated to my kittens, who on August 20th were turning one month old. A pretty big achievement for these little ones, taking into account that feline and canine kittens are always very delicate, where their first weeks are the most important (vital) stages of their lives and that determine their health, strength and behavior for the years to come. So we couldn't be happier. Let's start with it.
The arrival of my kitten Kira's kittens have brought a lot of joy to the house. The first few weeks the kittens used to sleep a lot, eat a lot and enjoy their mother's love. However, some more than others showed signs of wanting to start walking. The first to walk was Chipmunk, who is the second daughter and has a striped coat. And not surprisingly, she was also the first to want to leave the nest and explore outside. With that initiative, the other kittens were motivated to try to leave their nest, following their sister's example.
¡Hola a todos en la comunidad de Hive Pets! Lo prometido es deuda y hoy por fin traigo un artículo dedicado a mis gatitos, que el día 20 de Agosto estuvieron cumpliendo un mes de edad. Un logro bastante grande para estos pequeños, tomando en cuenta que los cachorros felinos y caninos son siempre muy delicados, dónde sus primeras semanas son las etapas más importantes (vitales) de sus vidas y que determinan su salud, fuerza y conducta para los años venideros. Así que no podemos estar más felices. Comencemos con ello.
La llegada de los gatitos de mí gatita Kira han traído mucha alegría a la casa. Las primeras semanas los gatitos solían dormir mucho, comer mucho y disfrutar del amor de su madre. Sin embargo, unos más que otros mostraban indicios de querer comenzar a caminar. El primero en caminar fue Ardillita, quién es la hija segunda y de pelaje de rayas. Y no nos sorprendió que ella fuera también la primera en querer salir del nido y explorar fuera de casa. Con esa iniciativa, los demás gatitos se fueron motivados a intentar salir de su nido, siguiendo el ejemplo de su hermana.
So we have had a lot of activity in the house, with the kittens running back and forth, playing with each other and making Kira despair when her kittens don't get back to the nest in time. I am especially amused by the "conversations" Kira has with her kittens as she constantly meows and they respond to their mother. I would like to know what they are communicating. Another curiosity of turning one month old, is that it brings an important event in the kittens' life; the teeth have erupted and the kittens will soon stop drinking milk from their mother's breast.
From the moment they eat their first meal, the dynamics in the group will be different as they will also have to start learning to go to the bathroom in the litter box, become independent from their mother (as she will also seek to get away from them, give them their space) and work out with us the food they will take to their stomachs. This while the kittens are with us. And clearly their mother will mark this event as she will decide if her children are ready for that (eating on their own) when the kittens' teeth become a nuisance and hurt her breasts. So in a few days we expect that.
Así que hemos tenido mucha actividad en la casa, con los gatitos corriendo de aquí para allá, jugando entre ellos y haciendo que Kira se desespere cuando sus gatitos no vuelven al nido a tiempo. Sobre todo me hace mucha gracia las "conversaciones" que Kira tiene con sus gatitos pues constantemente ella maulla y ellos les responde a su madre. Me gustaría saber que están comunicándose. Otra curiosidad de cumplir un mes de edad, es que trae un acontecimiento importante en la vida de los gatitos; los dientes han salido y los gatitos pronto dejarán de tomar leche del pecho de su madre.
A partir del momento en que ellos coman su primera comida, la dinámica en el grupo será diferente pues también tendrán que comenzar a aprender a ir al baño en la caja de arena, independizarse de su madre (pues ella también buscará alejarse de ellos, darles su espacio) y resolver con nosotros la comida que llevarán a sus estómagos. Esto mientras los gatitos estén con nosotros. Y claramente su madre marcará este suceso pues ella decidirá sí sus hijos están listos para eso (comer por sí mismos) cuando los dientes de los gatitos sean una molestia y lastimen los pechos de ella. Así que en pocos días esperamos eso.
These pictures are part of the many pictures my couple has taken of the little kittens. Some of them show very cute attitudes, typical of them. Ardillita is the most active, Kiko (the white one) is balanced a little bit active but also looking for tranquility, Blacky (the black one) is the quietest and although he plays, he prefers to stop in time to go after his mother. In any case, each one of them is precious and loved. For the moment, we can only help them and their mother to successfully complete the next stage. This is now the cats' home. Estas fotografías son parte de las muchas fotografías que mí pareja se ha dedicado a tomarle a los pequeños gatitos. Algunas de ellas muestran actitudes muy simpáticas, propias de ellos. Ardillita es la más activa, Kiko (el blanco) es equilibrado un poquito activo pero también buscando la tranquilidad, Blacky (el negrito) es el más tranquilo y aunque juega, prefiere parar a tiempo para ir a tras de su madre. En todo caso, cada uno de ellos es precioso y amado. Por los momentos,no nos queda más que ayudarlos y ayudar a su madre para que culminen con éxito la siguiente etapa. Hermosos bebés! Se nota muchísimo que los cuidad mucho, y eso es algo que admirar.. mucha gente los abandona sin escrúpulos alguno.

Saludos 😁 sí, son unos bebés muy sanos y amados. Es terrible cuando esas cosas suceden, el abandono. Mí gata Kira, la madre de estos pequeños, también fue abandonada cuando era una cachorra.
