¿Quién es? Who is he?
Se llama Chester, es un cruce entre Yorkshire y Poodle. Es un perro cariñoso, juguetón, obediente y bastante inteligente. Tiene un carácter muy hiperactivo, por lo que debemos estar pendientes y prestarle mucha atención ya que no le gusta estar solo y jugamos con él a diario. Le gusta ser el centro de atención en la familia.
His name is Chester, he is a cross between Yorkshire and Poodle. He is a loving, playful, obedient and quite intelligent dog. He has a very hyperactive character, so we must be aware and pay close attention to him because he does not like to be alone and we play with him daily. He likes to be the center of attention in the family.

Era el mes de diciembre del año 2015, y recientemente habíamos sufrido la pérdida de nuestra última mascota; una Cocker Spaniel llamada Lulú que nos dejó a la edad de 10 años. A pesar de que no nos sentíamos aún preparados para hacernos cargo de otro animal, un día vimos un aviso en un portal llamado Mercado Libre. Había dos perritos, y uno de ellos, el claro más claro nos recordó a una Yorkshire llamada Tina que tuvimos hacía algunos años atrás.
It was the month of December 2015, and we had recently suffered the loss of our last pet; a Cocker Spaniel named Lulu who left us at the age of 10 years old. Even though we didn't feel ready to take care of another animal, one day we saw an ad in a portal called Mercado Libre. There were two little dogs, and one of them, the lighter one, reminded us of a Yorkshire called Tina that we had a few years ago.

El día del encuentro con nuestro pequeño cachorro, el señor traía a los dos perritos que quedaban de la camada de cinco en total. Pero sucedió algo y es que el destino quiso que ese día, el perrito al que pesábamos adoptar dormía plácidamente, mientras que el otro cachorro tenía un brillo especial en sus ojos, al vernos empezó a mover su cola y con su mirada nos decía: “Llévenme con ustedes, por favor”. La misma mirada de ternura que hoy utiliza para manipularnos y lograr lo que quiere. Fue amor a primera vista. Lo demás es historia, la cual les seguiré relatando a continuación.
The day of the meeting with our little puppy, the man was bringing the two remaining puppies of the litter of five in total. But something happened and destiny wanted that day, the puppy that we wanted to adopt was sleeping peacefully, while the other puppy had a special shine in his eyes, when he saw us he started to wag his tail and with his look he was telling us: "Take me with you, please". The same look of tenderness he uses today to manipulate us and get what he wants. It was love at first sight. The rest is history, which I will continue to tell you below.
Desde que llegó a nuestra casa se adaptó muy rápido, enseguida la hizo suya. Llegó a nosotros con apenas dos meses de edad. La persona con la que más se encariñó fue conmigo porque en esa época yo estaba trabajando desde casa, así que pasaba todo el día con él y me encargaba de darle sus alimentos.
From the moment she arrived at our house she adapted very quickly, she immediately made it her own. He came to us when he was only two months old. The person he became most attached to was me because at that time I was working from home, so I spent the whole day with him and I was in charge of feeding him.

Y así fue pasando el tiempo, Chester fue creciendo y siempre al lado mío. Yo soy profesor, y cuando a los 3 meses me tocó aceptar un trabajo que era presencial, los primeros días el cachorro se entristecía mucho cuando me tocaba salir a dar clases, pero con el tiempo se fue adaptando.
And so time went by, Chester was growing up and always by my side. I am a teacher, and when at the age of 3 months I had to accept a job that was in person, the first days the puppy was very sad when I had to go out to give classes, but with time he was adapting.

Chester es un perrito que es muy fácil tomarle una foto, solo basta con llamarlo y se queda esperando como si fuera un modelo de anuncios publicitarios.

La lamentable situación de la pandemia producto del Covid 19 ha logrado que el amor entre nosotros siga creciendo. El hecho de que la familia haya tenido que trabajar desde casa todo este tiempo ha hecho muy feliz a Chester, quien ya poco tiene que sufrir vernos partir a trabajar.
The unfortunate situation of the Covid 19 pandemic has allowed the love between us to continue to grow. The fact that the family has had to work from home all this time has made Chester very happy, and he has little to suffer from seeing us leave for work.

Actualmente nuestro amigo tiene 5 años y medio. Sigue compartiendo su ilimitado amor con todos nosotros entre juegos, premios y sus ocurrencias. Es un perro muy feliz, y nos hace feliz a todos los que le rodean. Mi más sincero saludo a todos aquellos que cuidan de una mascota y la hacen sentir feliz. ¡Un fraternal abrazo!
Currently our friend is 5 and a half years old. He continues to share his boundless love with all of us between games, treats and his witticisms. He is a very happy dog, and he makes all of us around him happy. My most sincere greetings to all those who take care of a pet and make him feel happy, a fraternal hug!
