En la última publicación que realicé acá estaba comentándoles sobre un hecho triste que había pasado referente a la desaparición de uno de mis gatos, Apolo, quien valiéndose de la estructura abierta de la casa pues salió un día para no regresar… hasta ahora. Sí, ha sido una gran sorpresa cuando en la mañana de hace unos días pues lo vemos desde una de las zonas del porche, estaba caminando en la parte de abajo. Como es usual puesto que han asociado el sonido de la comida para gatos golpeando el envase donde nosotros la guardamos a la hora de comer, mi papá usó esta técnica para llamar su atención, y de manera sorpresiva respondió positivamente antes esto, aunque después se asustó por un ruido extraño, yéndose de nuevo.

In the last post I made here I was telling you about a sad fact that had happened regarding the disappearance of one of my cats, Apolo, who using the open structure of the house went out one day and never came back... until now. Yes, it has been a great surprise when in the morning of a few days ago we see him from one of the areas of the porch, he was walking downstairs. As usual since they have associated the sound of the cat food hitting the container where we keep it at mealtime, my dad used this technique to get his attention, and surprisingly he responded positively to this, although later he got scared by a strange noise, leaving again.
Unas horas después cuando me encontraba regando las matas que se encuentran allí pude verlo por mí misma en ese lugar donde previamente lo había visto mi papá, lo estuve llamando con sonidos para que me prestara atención y al final, hizo el intento de llegar hasta donde estaba, decidiendo en un momento pues entrar por la puerta principal que tuve que abrir para que pudiera entrar, pero qué impresionante la manera en la podría decirse que pidió que le abriera la puerta de la casa. La sorpresa se hizo presente además porque Apolo tenía un collar que, claro está, no se lo había puesto ninguno de nosotros en la casa así que eso significaba que había estado con otra familia haciendo de las suyas como un excelente gato latinoamericano que tiene más hogares y familias. En vista de que le quedaba apretado, decidimos quitárselo.

The surprise was also present because Apolo had a collar which, of course, none of us in the house had put on so that meant he had been with another family doing his thing as an excellent Latin American cat who has more homes and families. Since it was too tight, we decided to take it off.
Los primeros momentos del regreso de Apolo fueron con los animales identificándose entre sí desde de este tiempo oliéndose mutuamente, normal a la luz de que es una de las formas que tienen para reconocerse, a través del olfato, por lo que traté de no interrumpir este proceso. No hubo agresividad por parte de ninguno pues al parecer se reconocieron rápido, sin embargo, tuve que estar atenta porque Aquiles se estaba poniendo demasiado rudo con los juegos con Apolo, no quería que al igual que a Atlas lo fuese a lastimar teniendo en cuenta que incluso le formó una pequeña herida en la parte posterior de la cabeza. Ellos de cualquier manera estuvieron jugando mucho por la entrada de la casa, revolcándose, mordiéndose, empujándose, y los dejé porque estas son prácticas normales también entre gatos.
The first moments of Apollo's return were with the animals identifying each other from this time by smelling each other, normal in light of the fact that it is one of the ways they have to recognize each other, through smell, so I tried not to interrupt this process. There was no aggression from any of them because apparently they recognized each other quickly, however, I had to be careful because Achilles was getting too rough with the games with Apollo, I did not want to hurt him as well as Atlas, taking into account that he even got a small wound on the back of his head. Anyway, they were playing a lot around the entrance of the house, rolling, biting, pushing each other, and I left them because these are normal practices also among cats.
Sí pude notar que Apolo se encontraba nervioso de estar aquí, lo percibí siempre buscando una vía de escape, no sé si por temor de que no lo dejara ir. Podíamos acariciarlo después de un poco de resistencia tratando de huir, se quedaba al lado de nosotros esperando que le diéramos atención, pero en el fondo preparad para el gran escape. En un momento decidió que había tenido suficiente, se trepó por uno de los muros del porche de la casa y se fue de nuevo a la calle después de un largo tiempo con sus hermanos echado disfrutando de la tranquilidad. No tengo conocimiento sobre quién lo habrá podido adoptar por así decirlo pensando que se trataba de un gato callejero, por desgracia tampoco puedo retenerlo con nosotros cuando ha decidido explotar toda esa libertad que conquistó, al menos en mi opinión no debería.
I could notice that Apollo was nervous to be here, I perceived him always looking for an escape route, I don't know if it was out of fear that I wouldn't let him go. We could pet him after a little resistance trying to run away, he would stand next to us waiting for our attention, but deep down ready for the great escape. At one point he decided he had had enough, climbed over one of the porch walls of the house and went back outside after a long time with his siblings lying there enjoying the quiet. I have no knowledge about who could have adopted him so to speak thinking that he was a stray cat, unfortunately I can't keep him with us either when he decided to exploit all that freedom he conquered, at least in my opinion he shouldn't have.
Estaré atenta a los alrededores con esta confirmación de que ha estado cerca este tiempo con alguno de los vecinos del sector, espero que vuelva con su familia, dígase nosotros, sin embargo, lo considero poco probable ya que la verdad a Apolo siempre le ha gustado la comida humada y explorar, algo que no podrá obtener si se queda, pero la esperanza es lo último que se pierde. Deseo que sepa que siempre va a tener un lugar especial acá, que aquí se encuentran sus hermanos, que ante cualquiera de las dificultades que esté afrontando siempre podrá contar con cualquier de nosotros por su bienestar. Entiendo que estamos hablando de un gato pero los animales asocian esto a su manera sabiendo quiénes pueden ayudarlos en momentos de necesidad, la vida de la calle es peligrosa para cualquiera.

I want him to know that he will always have a special place here, that his brothers and sisters are here, that whatever difficulties he is facing, he can always count on any of us for his well being. I understand that we are talking about a cat but animals associate this in their own way knowing who can help them in times of need, street life is dangerous for anyone.
