Llevo un tiempo siguiendo esta iniciativa y realmente me parece maravillosa, gracias a mi amiga @marijo0 por incluirme en ella y a @yolimarag por crearla.
Me parece realmente fascinante como podemos aprender un poco más acerca de las razas que más nos gustan por medio de ella. Sin más que decir aquí les dejo mis 3 razas favorita de perros:

I find it really fascinating how we can learn a little more about the breeds we like the most through it. Without further ado, here are my 3 favorite dog breeds:
CHOW CHOW
Esta raza la tengo muy cerca a mi corazón, porque fue la raza de mi primer perro. Al que considero mi primer amigo real y mi compañero de aventuras; lo llamé Golfo, por el protagonista de la dama y el vagabundo. Golfo y yo estuvimos juntos por 5 años más o menos antes de tener que regalarlo a una tía porque yo me mudaría a un apartamento más pequeño y como era una niña mi mamá decidió no podía llevarlo conmigo porque pensaba que no tendría tiempo para hacerme responsable de él, ese día fue uno de los más tristes, pero la buena noticia es que Golfo vivió muy muy feliz cerca de 5 años más, antes de irse al cielo de los perritos. Entonces por experiencia puedo decir que son una raza llena de amor, babitas y mucho pelo, al igual que todos los perros aman muchísimo y son incondicionales.
Algunas curiosidades acerca de ellos que descubrí durante mi investigación para hacer este post es que son una de las razas más antiguas, vienen de china, dónde influyeron en la representación de los leones de Foo, protectores de los templos chinos, pero tienen ancestros Siberianos. Lo triste es que también fueron utilizados para el consumo humano, tanto por su carne como por su pelaje, usado para abrigos. Una de las teorías para explicar su nombre es que viene de inglés pidgin: según esto, tschau-tschau se traduciría como bocaditos.
Por otro lado algo característico de esta raza es que tienen la lengua azul, también el paladar y labios, y aunque científicamente no hay explicación, conseguí otra leyenda: durante la creación del mundo, cayeron pedazos de cielo mientras se colocaban las estrellas, al Chow Chow se le permitieron comer estos pedazos y por eso su boca quedó de este color. ¿Te imaginas que te dejen comerte pedacitos de cielo?
This breed is very close to my heart, because it was the breed of my first dog. The one I consider my first real friend and my adventure companion; I named him Golfo, after the main character of Lady and the Tramp. Golfo and I were together for 5 years more or less before I had to give him away to an aunt because I was moving to a smaller apartment and as I was a little girl my mom decided I couldn't take him with me because she thought I wouldn't have time to be responsible for him, that day was one of the saddest, but the good news is that Golfo lived very very happy for about 5 more years, before he went to doggy heaven. So from experience I can say that they are a breed full of love, drool and lots of hair, like all dogs they love a lot and are unconditional.
Some curiosities about them that I discovered during my research for this post is that they are one of the oldest breeds, they come from China, where they influenced the representation of the Foo lions, protectors of the Chinese temples, but they have Siberian ancestors. The sad thing is that they were also used for human consumption, both for their meat and for their fur, used for coats. One of the theories to explain their name is that it comes from pidgin English: according to this, tschau-tschau would translate as morsels.
On the other hand, something characteristic of this breed is that they have a blue tongue, palate and lips, and although scientifically there is no explanation, I got another legend: during the creation of the world, pieces of sky fell while the stars were placed, the Chow Chow was allowed to eat these pieces and that's why his mouth was this color. Can you imagine that they let you eat pieces of sky?

PODDLE TOY
Estos amiguitos son compañeros fantásticos, y lo sé de buena fuente porque muchos años después de Golfo, tuve el placer de tener a Princesa, un poddle toy, también porque soy cercana a Pamela y Gabbana, ambas hijas de amigas cercanas y las considero mis sobrinitas, por eso los tengo entre mis razas favoritas. Chiquitos, bonitos y amigables, en mi experiencia muy tranquilos, aunque se que no todos son así, Princesa era una perrita ejemplar. Ahora, como pasó con los Chow Chow para hacer este post investigué un poquito más sobre la historia y curiosidades de esta raza, entre las que más me llamaron la atención:
✓ Por mucho tiempo fueron usados en circos por su agilidad y facilidad para aprender trucos nuevos
✓En el siglo XV esta raza se convirtió en la raza de perro nacional de Francia
✓ Son una de las razas más inteligentes según la clasificación de Stanley Coren.
These little friends are fantastic companions, and I have it on good authority because many years after Golfo, I had the pleasure of having Princesa, a poddle toy, also because I am close to Pamela and Gabbana, both daughters of close friends and I consider them my nieces, that's why I have them among my favorite breeds. Small, cute and friendly, in my experience very calm, although I know that not all of them are like that, Princesa was an exemplary dog. Now, as it happened with the Chow Chow to make this post I researched a little more about the history and curiosities of this breed, among those that caught my attention the most:
✓ For a long time they were used in circuses for their agility and ease to learn new tricks.
✓ In the 15th century this breed became the national dog breed of France.
✓ They are one of the most intelligent breeds according to Stanley Coren's classification.
BULLDOG INGLÉS / ENGLISH BULLDOG
¡Ay esta raza me encanta! , me parecen demasiado tiernos, su tamaño, su carita, parecen molestos, por lo que cuando ves su sonrisita te ilumina la vida, a mi en particular siempre me han llamado la atención, lastimosamente no he tenido un amiguito de esta raza. Según lo que he leído de ellos, tristemente eran usados en peleas contra toros para entretenimiento. Un gran porcentaje de ellos necesita ayuda para nacer dado el tamaño de su cabeza y no saben nadar. Realmente me gusta mucho esta raza, espero que a ustedes también.
I love this breed! I find them too cute, their size, their little face, they look annoying, but when you see their little smile it lights up your life, to me in particular they have always attracted my attention, unfortunately I have not had a friend of this breed. According to what I have read about them, sadly they were used in fights against bulls for entertainment. A large percentage of them need help to be born due to the size of their head and they can't swim. I really like this breed, I hope you do too.
Y bueno esas fueron mis 3 razas favoritas de perros. Realmente tengo un amor muy grande por estos animalitos, siempre los he considerados grandes amigos y compañeros, son tan nobles, fieles y cariñosos que es difícil no amarlos. Actualmente estos en búsqueda de un nuevo amiguito para unirlo a mi familia, y aunque muchas veces me dijeron que era más rápido comprarlo, decidí que prefiero adoptar y darle amor y hogar a un pequeñito mestizo. And well those were my 3 favorite dog breeds. I really have a great love for these little animals, I have always considered them great friends and companions, they are so noble, faithful and loving that it is hard not to love them. I am currently looking for a new friend to join my family, and although many times I was told that it would be faster to buy one, I decided that I prefer to adopt and give love and home to a little mestizo.
