Many of us have pets at home. In my house, we adopted two, and one adopted himself (he came to the house all on his own). I particularly like animals; I don't have a preference for cats or dogs.
1- Yuni's Story:
This was the first cat my mom adopted, back when she was very small. She's a Siamese cat who hasn't always lived in the same place.
The plan was for her to live at my paternal home, but it didn't work out, so my mom took her to one of my aunts' houses. Then, it was necessary to give her to an Arab business, but the cat became depressed and didn't want to eat. She had become very attached to my mom. The owner told my mom that he was going to give her back because she looked unwell.
Since then, she has been with us. Everything really changed for her, and she started to eat again. She was spayed, which they say is very necessary for household cats (the truth is they give birth very often).

2- Conor's Story:
This was the second cat my mom adopted. He was given to her by a woman who rescues, spays, and adopts out cats. She told us that he was not very trusting of people because he had been abused by people on the street.
When he first came home, he was scared, but little by little, he started to trust us.
Another thing we learned is that cats tend to be very territorial, at least that's how it was with Yuni. She didn't accept the new cat on the first day and tried to attack him. My mom put Conor in a basket so that Yuni could get used to his presence. The truth is, it was hard for her to accept him, and she would occasionally hit him. It took a considerable amount of time for her to accept him.
Conor is known for being playful, but very distrustful until he gets to know a person well. He loves to sleep with my mom, and she allows it. I don't let him in my bed.
3- Osan's Story:
My mom wanted another cat, a black female. But a male albino cat showed up (the complete opposite). In this case, we didn't adopt him; he came on his own.
It started like this: from time to time, we would hear the cats fighting (Yuni and Conor), and my mom would say it was a white cat (possibly Osan). We heard them fighting for several days. But then, they became friends and stopped fighting.
One day, my daughter and I saw the white cat on the roof, the same one we used to see on the street. And many houses would give him food.
The first photo I took of him was my favorite. You can see the two colors in his eyes, blue and yellow (Heterochromia). I've seen that in dogs, but it was my first time seeing it in a cat; I think it's quite rare.
The cat kept frequenting the roof. Until one day, he came down to eat from Yuni and Conor's bowl. What was curious to me was that the two of them would just watch him and let him eat whatever he wanted.
My mom named him Osan (a character from a Turkish novel). He started frequenting the house, even sleeping here. He began to walk with his tail up. He felt safe here and would even stay to sleep.
Osan came from another house; my mom spoke with his owner, who said he hadn't been home for a long time. The cat didn't want to leave. Even though my mom has bathed and cleaned him as best as she could, he still rolls around in the dirt.
There was a problem: Osan was harassing Yuni a bit, as if he wanted to mount her. For that reason, my mom decided to take advantage of a nearby spaying campaign to get him neutered.
For the first few weeks, Osan was still bothering Yuni, but that has since decreased.
Something noteworthy about Osan is that he is very gentle. He lets you pick him up or pet him, and he is nervous like many cats. He didn't use to play and seemed sad. Now he really likes to play a lot.
Yuni still hasn't accepted him. Sometimes he plays with Conor, although Conor gets tired faster. According to his first owner, he is about 1 year old, so he's still a young cat. That's why he still likes to play.
Of the three stories, Osan's was the most interesting to me.

Muchos en casa tenemos mascotas, en la mía se adoptaron 2, y uno que se adoptó así mismo (llegó el solo a la casa). A mí en particular me gustan los animales, no tengo preferencias por gatos o perros.
1- Historia de Yuni:
Esta fue la primera gata en ser adoptada por mi mamá desde que era muy pequeña. Es una gata siamesa, no siempre vivió en el mismo lugar.
La finalidad era que viviera en mi casa paterna, no se pudo y mi mamá se la llevó a casa de una de mis tías. Luego fue necesario regalarla a un negocio árabe, pero la gata se deprimió, no quería comer. Se había apagado mucho a mi mamá. El árabe le comento que se la iba a devolver porque la veía mal.
Desde ese entonces ha estado con nosotros. Y de verdad todo cambió para ella y comenzó a comer. Se llego a esterilizar, dicen que es muy necesario para los gatos y gatas de hogar (la verdad es que paren muy seguido).

2- Historia de Conor:
Este fue el segundo gato en ser adoptado por mi mamá. Se lo dio una señora que se dedica a rescatar gatos, esterilizarlos, y dar en adopción. Nos comentó que él no era muy confiado con la gente porque llegó a sufrir maltrato por parte de personas en la calle.
Cuando llegó nuevo a casa, este mostraba miedo, poco a poco fue agarrando confianza.
Otra cosa que pudimos aprender es que los gatos tienden a ser muy territoriales, por lo menos así fue con Yuni. No acepto al nuevo gato el primer día, buscaba atacarlo. Mi mamá lo colocó a Conor en una cesta para que Yuni fuera adaptándose a su presencia. La verdad es que le costó aceptarlo, de vez en cuándo Yuni le pegaba. Pasó un tiempo considerable para que lo aceptara.
Conor se ha caracterizado por ser juguetón, pero muy desconfiado hasta que conoce bien a la persona. Le encanta dormir con mamá, ella se lo permite, en mi caso no lo acepto en mi cama.
3- Historia de Osan:
Mi mamá quería otro gato, que fuera hembra de color Negro. Pero llegó uno macho blanco albino (todo lo contrario). En este caso no lo adoptamos, vino por su cuenta.
Así comenzó, de vez en cuando escuchábamos a los gatos peleando (Yuni y Conor), mi mamá comentaba que era un gato blanco (posiblemente Osan). Varios días se escuchaba cuándo peleaban. Pero llegó un momento que se hicieron amigos, dejaron de pelear.
Un día junto con mi hija vimos el gato blanco en la Azotea, ese mismo lo veíamos en la calle. Y en muchas casas le daban comida.
La primera foto que le tomé fue la que más me gustó, se puede apreciar, los dos colores en sus ojos, azul y amarillo (Heterocromía). He visto eso en perros, pero primera vez en un gato, creo que es algo difícil de encontrar.
El gato seguía frecuentando la azotea. Hasta que un día bajo a comer del plato de Yuni y Conor. Lo que me daba curiosidad es que los dos se le quedaban viendo y dejaban que el comiera lo que quisiera.
Mi mamá lo llamo Osan (nombre de personaje de novela turca). Fue frecuentando la casa. Hasta dormía aquí. Y empezó a caminar con la cola levantada. Se sentía seguro acá, hasta se quedaba a dormir.
Osan venía de otra casa, mi mamá hablo con su dueña, ella comentó que tenía mucho sin ir a su casa. El gato no quiso salir de acá. Aunque mi mamá lo ha bañado limpiado como ha podido, se vuelve a revolcar en la tierra.
Había un inconveniente, Osan acosaba un poco a Yuni, parecía como si quisiera montarla. Por esa razón mi mamá decidió aprovechar una jornada cerca para esterilizarlo.
A las primeras semanas Osan seguía molestando a Yuni, pero eso ha disminuido.
Algo a destacar de Osan es que es muy noble, se deja agarrar o acariciar, es nervioso cómo muchos gatos. Antes no jugaba y reflejaba tristeza. Ahora sí le gusta jugar mucho.
Yuni no lo ha aceptado aún. A veces juega con Conor, aunque este se cansa más rápido. Según su primera dueña tiene como 1 año, es un joven. Por eso aún le gusta jugar
De las tres historias, me dio más curiosidad la de Osan.
