Hello everyone in the wonderful Hive pet community. I hope you’re all doing well and spending good time with your pets wherever you are.
It is so nice to be part of this wonderful community because I get to see beautiful pets, learn about them and also share my experiences.
I didn’t know much about dogs when my brother brought Molly, my German shepherd dog, to the house. But as time went on, I started to study her; her behavior, what she liked doing and what she hates. In January, Molly clocked a year old and we celebrated her birthday in a grand style; we wore her a birthday cap and cooked her favorite meal. I’m sure she must’ve enjoyed that day so much.
A few months later, I noticed she was on her heat period ( I noticed bloody discharge from her vulva and she also started to urinate more frequently) I took the opportunity to breed. She mated twice with another German shepherd. When she was pregnant, I made sure I did everything for her. I prepared a place for the puppies and I also made sure I gave Molly enough food. I also read that pregnant dogs should avoid medications, so I didn’t give her any.
After 60 days, Molly gave birth to seven pups. Oh boy, I was so happy because I got to witness her giving birth, plus it was the first time I ever saw a dog giving birth. At first, I thought she’d be aggressive and temperamental, but she just stared at me and didn’t do anything as I took pictures and stayed with her. Sadly, after about 1 week, I lost 1 puppy (the biggest one) to respiratory problems. I was very sad, but I was still quite happy because I still had 6 (well, 5 because I agreed to give the owner of the dog that fathered Molly’s puppies, one of the puppies).
After about 2 months, I noticed something very odd in one of the puppies. After studying all 6 of them, I noticed there’s one that is very lively. A girl, and just like her mother, she likes playing, so I named her Tarzan. All the other ones are also beatiful and nice, but one them (a boy) is always putting his down; he always walks with his head down. Every other thing about him is quite normal, although he eats a lot, maybe too much? But I think that is normal.
This is not my first time taking care of a puppy, and I’ve never seen a puppy walking with it’s head down. I was so confused that I had to go on the internet for answers. I saw some likely reasons why dogs walk with their heads down.
Old age
Bucky (yeah, I named him Bucky. I think it suits him) is just 2 months old, so old age is our of the reasons why he walks with his down.
Submissiveness
Personally, this is actually very surprising because I never knew are submissive when they’re with other dogs. But this is also our of the reasons because asides his mom, there are no other bigger dogs in my compound. And if he’s actually scared of other dogs (his siblings), I’ve placed him in a separate place and that still didn’t solve it.
The dog is smelling something
I think this is totally our of the reasons why Bucky walks with his head down. I tried to put it in another place (different places) but nothing changed, it still kept walking that way.
And the last reason;
Injury
This is most likely the reason why Bucky walks with his down. My cousins are very reckless when playing with the dogs. They are kids, so they always want to carry them, feed them, touch and play with them. Maybe, just maybe, while one of my cousins was playing with bucky, he fell and broke his neck (I think this is the best explanation).
@wrestlingdesires (I’m very sorry for tagging you in this article without your permission),I think you know much about dogs, please feel free to say something about this (if you have anything to say).
And to anyone in this wonderful community who knows if this is normal or what I can do to help Bucky, I’m open to suggestions.

Es muy agradable formar parte de esta maravillosa comunidad porque puedo ver hermosas mascotas, aprender sobre ellas y también compartir mis experiencias.
No sabía mucho sobre perros cuando mi hermano trajo a Molly, mi perra pastor alemán, a casa. Pero con el tiempo, empecé a estudiarla; su comportamiento, lo que le gustaba hacer y lo que odiaba. En enero, Molly cumplió un año y lo celebramos a lo grande; le pusimos un gorro de cumpleaños y le preparamos su comida favorita. Estoy segura de que debió de disfrutar mucho ese día.
Unos meses más tarde, me di cuenta de que estaba en su periodo de celo (noté que le salía sangre de la vulva y también empezó a orinar con más frecuencia) y aproveché la oportunidad para criar. Se apareó dos veces con otro pastor alemán. Cuando estaba embarazada, me aseguré de hacer todo por ella. Preparé un lugar para los cachorros y también me aseguré de darle a Molly suficiente comida. También leí que las perras embarazadas deben evitar los medicamentos, así que no le di ninguno.
Al cabo de 60 días, Molly dio a luz a siete cachorros. Me alegré mucho porque pude presenciar su parto, además de que era la primera vez que veía a una perra parir. Al principio, pensé que sería agresiva y temperamental, pero se limitó a mirarme fijamente y no hizo nada mientras yo tomaba fotos y me quedaba con ella. Lamentablemente, después de una semana, perdí un cachorro (el más grande) por problemas respiratorios. Estaba muy triste, pero seguía siendo bastante feliz porque todavía tenía 6 (bueno, 5 porque acepté darle al dueño del perro que engendró a los cachorros de Molly, uno de los cachorros).
Después de unos 2 meses, noté algo muy raro en uno de los cachorros. Después de estudiar a los 6, noté que hay uno que es muy vivaz. Es una niña, y al igual que su madre, le gusta jugar, así que la llamé Tarzán. Todos los demás son también bonitos y simpáticos, pero uno de ellos (un chico) siempre está bajando la cabeza; siempre camina con la cabeza baja. Todo lo demás es bastante normal, aunque come mucho, ¿quizás demasiado? Pero creo que es normal.
No es la primera vez que cuido de un cachorro, y nunca he visto a un cachorro caminar con la cabeza hacia abajo. Estaba tan confundida que tuve que ir a Internet en busca de respuestas. Vi algunas razones probables por las que los perros caminan con la cabeza hacia abajo.
La edad
Bucky (sí, lo llamé Bucky, creo que le queda bien) sólo tiene 2 meses, así que la edad es una de las razones por las que camina con la cabeza hacia abajo.
Sumisión
Personalmente, esto es realmente muy sorprendente porque nunca supe que son sumisos cuando están con otros perros. Pero esto es también nuestra de las razones porque aparte de su madre, no hay otros perros más grandes en mi complejo. Y si realmente tiene miedo de otros perros (sus hermanos), lo he colocado en un lugar separado y eso aún no lo solucionó.
El perro está oliendo algo
Creo que esta es totalmente nuestra de las razones por las que Bucky camina con la cabeza baja. He intentado ponerlo en otro lugar (diferentes lugares) pero nada ha cambiado, sigue caminando de esa manera.
Y la última razón;
Lesión
Esta es la razón más probable por la que Bucky camina con la cabeza hacia abajo. Mis primos son muy imprudentes cuando juegan con los perros. Son niños, así que siempre quieren cargarlos, alimentarlos, tocarlos y jugar con ellos. Tal vez, solo tal vez, mientras uno de mis primos jugaba con bucky, este se cayó y se rompió el cuello (creo que esta es la mejor explicación).

Was he ever normal? If yes, when did this start?
Does he drink the same amount as the other puppies?
Is his bathroom habit different from the others?
Does he play? If yes, how does he move at that time?
Does he have energy? Does he run? Is his head up then?
One thing you can try: get him alone before feeding, and give him tiny meat treats. gradually have him go higher for each, and watch for signs of discomfort or pain. Stop instantly if you see it, and take him to the vet. If there isn't any problem, you can encourage him to first raise his head, then walk with it up, but be alert for problems.

Yes, at first Bucky was normal; playful like others. But about a week ago, I noticed he wasn’t running around like before. He eats a lot (than others), but he drinks the same amount of water.
Thanks so much for your recommendation, I think I’ll try that before taking him to the vet.
Do let me know, but even if there's no pain, he needs a vet. Something is definitely wrong, and you can only do so much without the proper equipment to run tests.

I feel there is a problem with Bucky, even after smelling or eating something, the head should come up at some point in time. And you cant be submissive every time na. So I think you should take him to see a vet. I hope he's be okay.
