Me atreví a realizar este artículo para honrar a tantos proteccionistas animalistas que trabajan en el anonimato, independiente, que nadie sabe todos los esfuerzos y sacrificios que realizan en esta gran labor que desempeña, de hecho muchas personas no saben que significa estas palabras Proteccionistas animalistas, a medida que vaya avanzando en este artículo iré explicando sobre esto.

Quisiera hablar sobre el trabajo que realiza una proteccionista que conozco desde hace muchos años, quise hacerle como una pequeña entrevista para que me contara sobre el trabajo que ella realiza. Quiero confesarles que juntas reímos y lloramos mientras compartíamos.
Ella desde pequeña le gustan los animales, desde pequeña ella decía a sus padres que quería ser médico de humano y médico de animales, para salvarlos, curarlos y cuidarlos. En medio de su pequeñez su mamá le explicaba de acuerdo a su edad que no podía ser médico de los dos, que tenía que escoger o humanos o animales, y ella decía: “entonces seré médico de animales”. Su mamá pensó que esta idea cambiaría a medida que crecería así como cambiaba las decisiones de muchas personas al crecer.

Nunca cambió en ella ese amor por los animales. A los 6 años fue mordida en la cara por un cocker que ella quería mucho, resulta que a un niño se le cayó su lonchera y el perro corrió, se llevó el pan del niño, ella en su inocencia le dijo al perrito que lo soltara, el perro la quería mucho a ella, pero pensó que le quitaría el pan, hay perros que reaccionan mal, se devolvió y la mordió en su rostro, desgarrándole el cachete, casi le agarra el ojo, ella en el momento no sintió dolor, sino cuando se limpió el cachete, vio la sangre abundante en su franelita, empezó a gritar y las maestras se las llevaron corriendo, la sacaron a la clínica, llamaron a sus representantes, dieron el permiso para ser operada, le realizaron una cirugía plástica, todo fue un éxito, gracias a Dios, muchos saben que es un milagro porque le quedó leve marca, el doctor era excelente.
Muchas personas le preguntan que cómo después de eso sigue queriendo a los animales, ella responde jocosamente: “después de eso los amo más”. Desde pequeña siempre tuvieron perras de esa raza en su casa, pero siempre una sola, sus papás no permitían que hubiese más de una mascota en casa.

Many people ask her how she still loves animals after that, she answers jokingly: "after that I love them more". Since she was a child she always had dogs of that breed at home, but always only one, her parents did not allow more than one pet at home
Con el tiempo ella terminó su bachillerato, comenzó a buscar para presentar la prueba en la Universidad Central de Venezuela (núcleo Maracay), pero lamentablemente intentó dos años seguidos y no quedaba, ella decía que si pasaba la prueba, reclamó muchas veces pero no logró quedar. Esas pruebas eran anuales, para ella eso era muy doloroso, porque era tener que esperar el siguiente año para seguir intentando, mientras tanto trabajó y realizó un curso de Auxiliar de Veterinaria, aprendió mucho, en la cual agradece mucho a Dios por todo lo que le enseñó el profesor que lamentablemente ya falleció. Su amor por los animales se despertó mucho más.
Decidió intentar por la UCV pero la Facultad de Agronomía para luego intentar cambio y si logró ingresar, realizó el cambió cuando ya había culminado el 2do semestre de dicha carrera. Luego solicitó el cambio, le realizaron muchas pruebas, aprobó con buena nota. Inició la carrera que tanto ama, cuando ya casi culminaba el 2do año de Medicina Veterinaria, muere su padre, le toca retirarse de la universidad para poder trabajar y mantener a su familia. Ella indica que su vida dio un giro de 360ºC, fue doblemente doloroso por perder a su papá y la carrera por la que tanto luchó.
Con el tiempo realizó un curso de peluquería canina, que gracias a eso ella trabaja independientemente esta profesión. Estando en la universidad su mamá recogió una cachorrita que la tiraron en la basura, prácticamente en estado vegetativo, pero gracias a Dios, logró levantarla, sacarla de ese cuadro con la ayuda de la veterinaria y el amor que le dedicó. Aquí conoció a la veterinaria que la ayudó por 17 años a la atención de sus perros, también perros de la calle que ella le llevaba al consultorio, lamentablemente esta veterinaria no está en el país y muchas cosas se le han complicada a la proteccionista para la atención de sus perros y otros.
Empezó a rescatar perros, a cuidarlos, a sanarlos, a conseguirles un buen hogar. Pero la situación ha cambiado mucho. Ella alimentaba a 25 perros que llegaban a su casa a tomar agua, comer, llegaban solos sin ella buscarlos, pero también ayudaba y alimentaba a otros que estaban en otras zonas. Muchos vecinos empezaron amenazarla, que matarían los perros si seguían viniendo, ella se asesoró, pero lamentablemente en este país no hay leyes que proteja a los animales como en otros países. En la zona que ella vive ella dice que no hay conciencia animalista, más bien han botado mascotas o las han dejado morir de hambre o enfermos.
Ella tiene 7 perros de esos que estaban en la calle, se quedaron en su casa, porque los rescató enfermos y ya luego no quiso sacarlos a la calle de nuevo. Los demás no los llegó a ver más porque los vecinos se encargaron de espantarlos y que no aparecieran más. Esto le ha entristecido mucho.

In the area where she lives she says that there is no animal conscience, rather they have thrown pets away or left them to die of hunger or sickness
She has 7 of those dogs that were in the street, they stayed in her house, because she rescued them sick and then she didn't want to take them out to the street again. The others she never saw again because the neighbors were in charge of scaring them away so they wouldn't show up again. This has saddened him a lot
Por su casa después que no entraba más de una mascota, han pasado muchos por su casa bien sea quedándose, o curándose para buscarles un buen hogar. Todos los que tiene los recogió por una afección, hay uno que tiene un solo ojo, por muchas vicisitudes han pasado sus perros.
Todas las cosas que ella ha hecho lo ha logrado sin ayuda de agentes gubernamentales, ni empresas, ni fundaciones, solo por todo lo que ella ha logrado conseguir, por las personas que le han colaborado. Pero lamentablemente este tiempo actual ya no es lo mismo que los años que pasaron, ya la crisis en nuestro país ha alcanzado a todos, ya las personas no pueden colaborarle ni ayudarle, de hecho ella también tiene el apostolado de ayudar a las personas necesitadas pero ya se hace cuesta arriba seguir avanzando.

Ella ha ido contra corriente durante años, pero de verdad que cada vez es imposible, de hecho ella trabaja como peluquera canina, y me cuenta que casi ya no le llega trabajo, las personas de esa zona casi ni invierten en animales sino en las cosas importantes para ellos. Es muy triste porque dice que ya se le hace cuesta arriba hasta para mantener a su manada rescatada, muchas veces ve animales en la calle y se pone a llorar porque no tiene nada para alimentarlos, ni medicamentos para curarlos.
Tiene una de sus rescatadas que tiene que operar de urgencia y no consigue dinero para operarla y salvarle la vida. Sigue luchando por no desmayar pero ella dice que sin apoyo monetario o de medicamentos es bastante difícil. En esta oportunidad estamos unidas en esta hermosa causa. Tenemos el beneficio de tener un cupo en una compañía de alimentos balanceados para animales y podemos dejar alimento para estas mascotas, por ahora son siete mascotas.
Quise traer este trabajo de ella, porque gracias a sus votos yo he podido colaborarle cuando obtengo buena votación de algún artículo, gracias a ustedes. Ojalá muchos de ustedes se atrevan a ser generosos para poderla ayudar a ella y a todos sus rescatados, los que ayuda en la calle, le ha tocado ayudar hasta animales que tienen hogar pero los dueños están muy mal económicamente y no tienen para alimentar a sus mascotas.
Yo sigo apostando por la vida, sabiendo que los venezolanos son muy generosos, ella ha intentado formar una fundación para ver si siendo fundación pudiera conseguir algunas donaciones para para realizar todos esos papeleos le ha sido difícil porque ni para pagarle a abogado para realizar todo eso ha podido. Yo sirvo de esa mano y voz amiga para animarle a seguir, claro animando y dando un poco para que podamos seguir, siento que es una obra muy hermosa.

Hola, me gustaría saber mas, en Venezuela los proteccionistas nos conocemos y como no pusiste el nombre es dificil adivinar (¿Jocelyng Gonzalez,?), tengo por lo menos 7 años en una institución gubernamental de protección animal y ciertamente, debido a la situación actual he logrado apoyarme en las criptomonedas para la obtención de recursos para los rescates que realizamos, adicionalmente en Venezuela estamos promoviendo actualmente la reforma de la actual Ley De Protección Animal vigente ya que aunque tiene sus bondades tiene ciertos vacios, es un movimiento animalista enorme que estamos luchando desde la institucionalidad por la reforma de la ley, afortunadamente el Fiscal General de la Republica nos está apoyando a todo el movimiento animalista y se que UNIDOS SOMOS MAS FUERTES.
La reforma de la ley estuvo detenida los ultimos años ya que es un procedimiento que se realiza desde la asamblea, actualmente se ha retomado.
Genial amigo @ledcerv estamos en Valencia /Venezuela. Ella toda su vida en esto. Estamos esperando que "silvina sirena" salga de su embarazo para esterilizar, si puede aportar alguna dirección en nuestro estado seria de gran bendición. Yo colaboro con ella en la alimentación, ella tiene una peluquería canina, bueno en un espacio en su hogar, son historias tristes de verdad para darte toda la información por aquí. Tenemos una amiga veterinaria que nos ayuda con algunas cosas pero entendemos que no puede costear todo. La mayoría de estas mascotas ya tienen muchas enfermedades. Yo hacia este servicio social con mi familia llevamos comidas en sus bolsitas en ocasiones algunos arrancaban las bolsas y se las comían con todo, pero bueno seguimos haciendo la labor. Entiendo la situación ya que la hemos vivido también, incluso desde el ambito institucional es complicado atender algunas cosas pero se puede construir mas unidos que separados, en Carabobo está el equipo de Misión Nevado con ciertas debilidades pero muchas fortalezas, quizas sea mentira si te digo que solucionaran el problema completo pero cualquier granito de arena suma.
