Also, with another needle she made a puncture in another mass that Tekila has had for many years, I do not know if you know it, but Tekila came to me already in old age, because my nephew went to live in Medellín and they left.
Hace algunas semanas, a Tekila se le encontró una bola sobre su colmillo (en la encía) , al parecer un tumor. La veterinaria realizó una citologia para poder determinar si esta masa es maligna o benigna. Para hacer esto, la doctora Daniela tomó una aguja y le hizo una punción en la masa. También, con otra aguja le hizo una punción en otra masa que Tekila tiene hace muchos años, no sé si lo saben, pero Tekila llegó a mi ya en edad adulta mayor, porque mi sobrino se fue a vivir a Medellín y me dejaron a Tekila, porque sabían que yo la cuidaría muy bien.

This week we received the results from the pathology lab and the masses are malignant, so Tekila has cancer, the vet tells me that it is not advanced cancer, nor strong, but it is cancer. We cannot remove because they would have to remove 2 cm around the mass and that would leave Tekila without a mouth.

That day, already having the diagnosis, two chest x-rays were taken, to rule out masses in her organs, fortunately there is no mass, so Tekila's cancer is limited to her mouth.
Ese día, ya teniendo el diagnóstico, se le hicieron dos radiografías de tórax, para descartar masas en sus órganos, por fortuna no hay ninguna masa, así que el cáncer de Tekila está limitado a su boca.
For now, we will manage immunostimulants injected every week, also a multivitamin supplement, control every month where blood tests will be done.
Also, I am planning a virtual appointment with a veterinary oncology center in Bogota, to see if they can advise me. I will do everything in my hands so that Tekila and Iris are happy and have quality of life.

Así es, es triste, pero esperemos, nada está escrito con estas enfermedades, así que me preocuparé por darle la mejor vida posible y seguiremos con sus controles y sus vitaminas.
Que lamentable noticia, no es nada grato saber que esta terrible enfermedad puede afectar hasta a nuestra mascotas, lo bueno es que lograron detectarlo cuando apenas lo tiene en la boca, Dios permita que con el tratamiento puedan ir disminuyéndolo y darle más año de vida a Tekila, estará bien cuidado y atendido así que el amor todo lo sana. Si, es una enfermedad terrible y no estoy segura de cómo evolucione en Tekila, pero estamos optimistas y haciendo todo lo necesario para que este bien.
