Our pets are often more than just small animals under our care. They come to be loved like a child of our own, something very precious that we like to treasure, care for, pamper, indulge, and fulfill their basic and even additional needs. One of those needs or cares, besides adequate feeding, is the grooming that we must give them throughout their life in our hands.
In general, some dogs like to bathe. Others, like my little dog Trueno José, shy away from this fateful hour that has to come at least once a month. Trueno José's veterinarian, Dr. Leiva, suggested to me that it should be one bath or shower a month, so as not to damage the natural cells of his skin if it is done excessively.
Trueno José has been with me since he was barely one month old. Since then, I have cared for him and raised him in the best possible way. Many know him through my posts on Hive. He is a docile dog but at the same time watchful, gentle, and not at all fastidious. Very polite, he does not bark at every moment for anything, but for those that deserve his alertness.
Nuestras mascotas suelen ser algo más que un simple animalito bajo nuestro cuidado. Se llegan a querer como un hijo propio, algo muy preciado que nos gusta atesorar, cuidar, mimar, complaciendo y cumpliendo con sus necesidades básicas y hasta adicionales. Una de esas necesidades o cuidados, además de una alimentación adecuada, es el aseo que debemos darles a lo largo de su vida en nuestras manos.
Por lo general, hay perros a quienes les agrada el bañarse. Otros, como mi perrito Trueno José, le huyen un poco a esta hora fatídica que tiene que llegar al menos una vez cada mes. El veterinario de Trueno José, el doctor Leiva, me sugirió que debía ser un baño o ducha al mes, todo ello para no dañar las células naturales de su piel, si se hace de forma excesiva.
Trueno José está conmigo desde que tenía un mes de nacido apenas. Desde entonces, lo he cuidado y criado, de la mejor manera posible. Muchos lo conocen a través de mis publicaciones en Hive. Es un perro dócil pero a la vez vigilante, apacible y nada fastidioso. Muy educado, no ladra a cada rato por cualquier cosa, sino por las que verdaderamente ameritan su alerta.
He does not like bath time very much, but he agrees because he is very obedient. When I water the plants in the garden, he runs away if he sees me with the hose in my hand, thinking that I am going to wet him. This scene is very funny when it happens.
I like to bathe him a lot because his coat looks beautiful. He has black hair and when we finish bathing him, he looks spectacular in terms of his shine. It is a healthy coat, as the vet told me because he is well cared for and has a good diet. My son Gabriel always helps me to bathe him, or rather, I help him, I am his assistant in this task of bathing Trueno José.
We usually tie him up (this is the only time I do it), so that I can control his movements during the bath. He stays calm, but it's easier this way when it's time to do the task. Gabriel, my son, bathes him with a special shampoo for puppies. We bought it at a veterinary store near our home. It is very good, it is inexpensive, and most importantly, it leaves his coat nice and shiny.
A él no le gusta mucho la hora del baño, pero accede porque es muy obediente. Cuando riego las plantas del jardín, sale huyendo si me ve con la manguera en la mano, creyendo que lo voy a mojar. Es muy cómica esta escena cuando ocurre.
Me gusta mucho bañarlo porque su pelaje se ve hermoso. Él tiene pelo de color negro y cuando terminamos de bañarlo, se ve espectacular en cuanto a su brillo. Es un pelaje sano, como me dijo el veterinario, porque está a buen cuidado y lleva una buena alimentación. Mi hijo Gabriel me ayuda siempre a bañarlo, o mejor dicho, yo lo ayudo a él , más bien, soy su asistente en esta tarea de bañar a Trueno José.
Por lo general lo amarramos (es la única ocasión en que lo hago), para poder controlar sus movimientos en el tiempo que dura el baño. Se queda tranquilo, pero es más fácil así, a la hora de realizar la tarea. Gabriel, mi hijo, lo baña con un Champú especial para perritos. Lo compramos en una tienda de artículos veterinarios, cercana a nuestro hogar. Es muy bueno, además de económico y lo más importante, le deja el pelaje muy bonito y brillante.
Gabriel lathers it well and gently rubs it all over his body, including his paws, ears, face, and everything in general. I love the way he looks after his bath. When he finishes, the inevitable shake to get rid of the excess water, and well, of course, the moment when he wets Gabriel and me.
He licks his paws himself to remove the excess water as well and we leave him tied up for a while so that he doesn't go out in the yard to lie down in the dirt even when wet and get unnecessarily dirty.
It is nice to take care of your pets and feel that you do for them, even a little bit of that love that they unconditionally give you every day at every moment. It is always especially satisfying to see them healthy and beautiful, with their fur clean and shiny.
Gabriel lo enjabona bien y le restriega suavemente todo su cuerpo, incluyendo las patas, orejas, rostro y todo en general. Me encanta como se ve luego de su baño. Al finalizar, inevitable la sacudida para quitarse el exceso de agua, y bueno, por supuesto, el momento en que nos moja a Gabriel y a mí.
Se lame sus patitas él mismo para quitar el exceso de agua también y lo dejamos un ratito amarrado, con la finalidad de que no salga al patio a acostarse en la tierra aun estando mojado y se ensucie de forma innecesaria.
Es lindo cuidar a tus mascotas y sentir que haces por ellos, aunque sea un poquito de ese amor que, incondicionalmente, te dan a diario en cada instante. Siempre es especialmente satisfactorio, verlo sano y bien hermoso, con su pelaje limpiecito y brillante.
Trueno José is a very beautiful and sweet pet. I am very happy to have him and I would like to keep him forever for all the imagined and unimagined years that exist in life. He owns a very special part of my heart.

Hola amiga, un compañero que se ve muy contento y feliz por ese baño que le dieron y de esa formar darle su respectivo cuidado, bañar a los perros es una gran tarea, por la forma cómo se ponen y comienzan a moverse, pero una vez que comienza no se quiere salir. Excelente ese trabajo en equipo que hacen para así siempre mantenerlo limpio como niño pequeño. Espero que sigan disfrutando de mucho más momentos juntos.
Si, definitivamente es una gran alegría en mi vida, tener a Trueno José. Él le huye al agua casi siempre jajaja pero cuando lo agarramos, se relaja y disfruta el baño. Hay que cuidarlos y retribuirles el amor que ellos, incondicionalmente nos dan a diario.

Demasiado cómicos ese comportamiento típico de los perros, algunos huyen del agua. Nano no puede huir yo corro más que él, ja, ja, pero Malta la mascota de mi hijo en lo que ve que esta preparando los envases, la toalla, se va lejos, ja, ja, ellos saben.
