Lana is sick. When we have pets at home, we must be alert to any eventuality. In this regard, from my point of view, we must treat them with all the love and respect they deserve. They love, they feel, and they also get sick. At home, we have four kittens and three dogs: two females and one male. One of our dogs, named Lana, is super active. She is small, but she runs like you wouldn't believe. She spends her time running around the house, jumping up and down on beds and furniture. On top of that, she gives the cats no respite because she is always teasing them. If they are eating, Lana simply won't let them, so at mealtimes, we have to put her in a room so she can eat alone. I say this because they put her food out separately, but she always leaves it to go and bother the cats. Now, Lana has gradually lost all that energy, and we've found that very strange.

Lana está Enferma. Cuando tenemos mascotas en casa; debemos estar atentos a cualquier eventualidad. En tal sentido; desde mi punto de vista, a ellos hay que tratarlos con todo el amor y respeto que se merecen. Ellos aman, ellos sienten y también se enferman. En casa tenemos 4 gatitos y un 3 perros; 2 hembras y un macho. Una de nuestras perritas llamada Lana, es súper activa; es pequeña, pero corre como no tienen idea. Se la pasa corriendo por toda la casa, salta para subir y bajar tanto las camas como de los muebles; aparte de ello, no le da tregua a los gatos porque siempre les está echando broma y si ellos están comiendo; sencillamente, Lana no deja que lo hagan, por ello a la hora de comer, hay que meterla en un cuarto para que coma sola. Digo esto; porque le ponen su comida de forma separada, pero siempre la deja para ir a molestar a los gatos. Ahora; toda esa energía que tenía Lana, poco a poco la ido perdiendo y eso lo hemos notado muy raro.

For days now, we have noticed that Lana has been very subdued; she hardly plays with the cats and is not eating as she usually does. Above all, we have noticed that she spends her time in bed with no desire to do anything. We have been monitoring her to see what is wrong, because she is usually very active and this worries us. We waited a few days, ready to call the vet in case of an emergency. Something is definitely wrong with her; she's not like this, especially since she doesn't want to play with us either. When she plays, she barks a lot, and she's not doing that either.

Hace días hemos visto a Lana muy apagada; casi no juega con los gatos y tampoco come de la forma que siempre lo hace. Más que todo; hemos notado que se la pasa en la cama sin ganas de hacer nada. Le hemos hecho seguimiento para ver que le pasa, porque realmente es muy activa y eso nos preocupa. Esperamos unos días siempre atentos de llamar al veterinario en caso de cualquier emergencia; definitivamente le pasa algo, ella no es así, más aun cuando tampoco quiere jugar con nosotros; ya que cuando juega ladra mucho y eso tampoco lo hace.

Sleeping and sleeping is what Lana does, and something funny is that our new kitten Charly spends all his time by her side; he is her new friend and seems to want to be with her so she can recover; at least Charly tries to cheer Lana up and it seems to be having some effect, there is a lot of love between them. Well, after keeping a close eye on Lana, we noticed that she had bloody stools, which we hadn't seen before, so we quickly called the vet. He told us it could be a stomach infection and prescribed metronidazole suspension, strictly instructing us to give her this medication in suspension form and not in tablets. He told us this because we had the medication in tablet form, which is very dangerous for them, so we were going to give it to her as instructed.

Dormir y dormir es lo que hace Lana y algo que es gracioso es que nuestro nuevo gatito Charly se la pasa a su lado; es su nuevo amigo y parece que desea estar con ella para que se recupere; por lo menos Charly intenta animar a Lana y parece que algo de efecto esta haciendo, existe mucho amor entre ellos. Bueno; de tanto estar pendiente de Lana, notamos que ha generado evacuaciones con sangre, eso no lo habíamos visto y rápidamente llamamos al veterinario. Este nos indicó que podría ser una infección estomacal y le recetó metronidazol en suspensión; que le dieran estrictamente este medicamento en suspensión y no en tabletas. Nos dijo eso; porque teníamos el medicamento en tabletas y para ellos es muy peligroso; así lo indicó y así se lo íbamos a suministrar.

Once I had the instructions, I quickly went to the pharmacy to get the medicine. I found it very quickly and returned home to give her the dose. I used a syringe and picked Lana up to give her the medicine, which was a little difficult because she gets very restless when she is given medicine. I gave her the medicine as best I could, and thank God she took it all. Now, we just have to see if she gets better. We hope so because Lana is very dear to us and it would be terrible if she didn't go back to being her old self. With God's help, that will be the case and we will see her running again. Una ves dada las indicaciones; rápidamente salí a la farmacia en busca del medicamento. Lo encontré muy rápido y me devolví a la casa para darle su dosis. Para ello usé una inyectadora y tomé a Lana para darle el medicamento, lo cual fue un poco difícil porque ella es muy inquieta cuando le dan medicinas. Como pude le di el remedio y gracias a Dios se lo tomó todo; ahora, solo queda observar si mejora. Eso esperamos porque Lana es muy querida y sería fatal si no vuelve a hacer la que era antes.
