Troubles with cat Katya

Today I'm at home and I was going to work on an article. A normal calm plan: coffee, laptop and texts.

But in the morning everything went wrong.

When I came to feed Katya the cat (she lives in a workshop and stubbornly does not want to live in the house), I noticed a wound on her neck. At first I thought I was just scratched. Then I looked more carefully - no, it's something else. Plans have changed dramatically. I immediately put her in a carrier and went to the vet.

The doctor looked and said an unexpected thing - it was a rodent bite. To be honest, I was very upset. What if it's a rat? I haven't seen any rats here. Mice - yes, but not rats. But fact is fact. Fortunately, all my animals are vaccinated. This greatly simplifies the situation.

The doctor treated the wound, gave Katya an antibiotic injection and prescribed treatment. Now we will process and observe for seven days. Nothing critical, but it's better not to run such things.

Of course, Katya doesn't like going to the vet. But she behaved patiently. Now she's at home, sitting with the appearance of a very offended cat.

And I was once again convinced that in my life with all my animals, plans for the day are a conditional thing. You can wake up with the thought "I'll work calmly", and in an hour I'll go to the clinic.

But now the main thing is that Katya's wound heals normally and there are no consequences. After all, she is more than 13 years old, and such older cats need to be watched especially carefully. Besides, she is my very first cat and I love her very much.
