The year 2025 for me has been a year filled with mixed emotions and lots of activities as well. It has been a year in which I have made new connections and also had to walk away from some relationships.
In January during my first semester of my final year, I remember going to meet my undergraduate project supervisor because I had missed her test due to a journey I had to make because of work and an event I had to decorate for, and my supervisor told me she could only give a consideration if it was a health-related journey. Long story short, I barely passed that course.
In the same January I had a business partnership with a friend, and she practically turned against me when things went a little out of plan.
As stated earlier, the year has been filled with mixed emotions. It has been a year where I graduated from the university, and that was an achievement after waiting for 10 years before I got admission into the university; it was a dream finally come true.
This year also saw me expanding my horizon as it relates to my event decoration work because in this year I got the opportunity to do a corporate event for the Ogun State government, a farmer empowerment program, and I was fortunate to be the decorator at that event.
Sometime in the month of September I also got the opportunity to decorate for another corporate event, TEDx Abeokuta, and it was quite a privilege and a wonderful experience.
Also in the month of September I attended a corporate event where I got the opportunity to attend a business school in the month of October, and on successful completion of that course, I was chosen as one of ten people who were admitted into the Niyi Adesanya leadership boot camp on the 12th and 13th of November.
I was under the teaching of great leaders like Niyi Adesanya himself and Fela Durotoye, a world-renowned speaker and leadership expert, amongst other speakers.
I am grateful for the lessons I have learned within the year and also the new relationships I have built, and I can say I have learned lessons from my mistakes and also taken some good decisions.
2025 I can say it has been a year of learning and unlearning and growing.
