Finding My Spark: What I Do When Motivation Runs Low

in Indiaunitedlast month

@dominatte welcomes you to my blog. It's my first time here in this community. I hope I'll enjoy my journey in moving along with this community. After my introductory post, I thought of checking this community, and I found out about this interesting contest going on in the community, and to be honest, I like the prompt dropped for the community to treat. Which says, "What do you do when you need motivation?"

The word "motivation" is a very powerful word with meaning, and in life, there are days when things go smoothly as we want, there are times things go wrong as we don't want, there are times I feel eager to do things, and there are times I don't feel like doing anything at all. When this happens, I'll always remind myself that motivations are not always authentic; they are things we create by ourselves, and our reasons for doing things create motivations for us.

I usually do ask myself this question anytime I'm down with motivation: "Why did I start this thing I'm doing in the first place?" Those little words remind me and help me to keep seeing the bigger picture. And sometimes when I get fed up with things I'm doing, what I do sometimes is to turn on my music and play uplifting songs that will shake the heaviness and what got me bothered. Sometimes I just take a short walk just to clear my head and take fresh air, and these movements do help me and even give me energy.

Also, I noticed that talking to people who can inspire and add to me boosts my energy. You know, having a little conversation with a friend or mentor can spark my ideas and put me back in action. Sometimes you share your mind with people you know can help your situation. Also, be careful of people you'll share your mind or problems with so they don't add to your problem or kill your spirit more. That's why you have to choose carefully who you take counsel from.

At the end of the day, motivation is like you refueling your tank. And sometimes what works for you might not work for me. There are things you hear that will motivate you and will not motivate me, and there are things you hear that will not motivate you but will be a source of motivation for me. But the key is to discover your own source of motivation, what works for you, and what motivates and inspires you whenever you run low on motivation.

To end my discussion on this prompt, I'll throw the question back to you: what do you do when you need motivation? Let's connect in my comment section.

Thanks for checking up on my blog.
