Greetings to all the readers here
I was thinking about how occupation shaming in my country is increasing day by day. I have many friends from other countries, and there, people respect the profession you are in. Unlike my country, where people look down on you, especially if you work as a driver, in a factory, in a shop, or if you fix car tires, you are often humiliated and become a victim of job shaming.
I do not understand why people do not realize that every one of us is connected, and without the help of each other, we are nothing. For example, if I am a rich person and I have a beautiful car, can I drive it forever without the workers who repair it when needed? The answer is no.
Another example is if something at your home is broken, you call a carpenter to fix it. Without them, your broken items would remain broken. So why humiliate them? Respect their work.
The best example, in my opinion, is the servicemen who fix our air conditioners every summer. Without them, how would we enjoy the cool air at home? We would have to buy a new air conditioner every time something went wrong.
We should respect all workers and remove occupation shaming from our country. I know this is just one blog, but anyone reading this from India, please make sure you do not humiliate anyone because of their job. Every person works hard to provide for their family. It is far better than sitting idle at home or begging on the street.
We should respect each other and our work. That is how life becomes more beautiful for all of us. Give respect, take respect. We are all humans. God created us equally. Each one of us is capable of different things. Let us not argue about who is better and who is not.
Thank you.
