Currently I am attending a conference with the BC Métis Federation about protecting the waters, and working with the Métis of BC to do so. I’m sharing with many of the leaders here, what we’re doing here on Hive, and how I believe we can be a huge asset to community building by taking back control of our online communities from the Meta monopoly.
Not only is the need for more sources of income needed, but a need to get away from the algorithms that continue to push the “colonialists” mindset into the minds of the young generations. I am doing my best to connect with, and share with the leaders here at this conference, so that we can all work together to empower the community that share the coast here in BC.
