The Gluttonous Cat [ENG-ESP]

Saludos a la comunidad que promueve alternativas para desarrollar el pensamiento y facilitar el proceso de aprender en el hogar. En esta ocasión comparto una estrategia que ejercita la motricidad; la propuesta nace para ayudar a un pequeño que, atiendo en su casa, tuve que diseñar un recurso llamativo. El divertido juego didáctico tiene el propósito de trabajar conceptos y coordinar mano-ojo. El Gato glotón tiene hambre y se debe alimentar con peces de diferentes colores, la complejidad va en evolución para que el niño resuelva problemas según las consignas propuestas.

Greetings to the community that promotes alternatives to develop thinking and facilitate the learning process at home. On this occasion I share a strategy that exercises motor skills; the proposal was born to help a little one that I attend at home, I had to design an eye-catching resource. The fun didactic game has the purpose of working on concepts and hand-eye coordination. The gluttonous cat is hungry and must be fed with fish of different colors, the complexity is evolving so that the child solves problems according to the proposed instructions.

Elaboration of the gluttonous cat	Elaboración del Gato glotón:

Cut 2 circles wider than the circumference of the cardboard tube to cover the holes in the tube; also cut out 2 triangular ears. Place a cardboard circle in one of the holes of the tube, it will stick out because it is bigger, cut small tabs around the circle to fold and glue with silicone. The other circle will serve half to make the front legs and to protrude from the body, the other half of the circle goes under the tube and we will glue this with silicone.

Cortar 2 círculos más anchos que la circunferencia del tubo de cartón para tapar los huecos del tubo; también recortar 2 orejas triangulares. Colocamos un círculo de cartón en uno de los huecos del tubo, va a sobresalir porque es más grande, cortar pestañas pequeñas al alrededor del círculo para doblar y pegar con silicón. El otro círculo servirá la mitad para hacer las patas delanteras y a sobresalir del cuerpo, la otra mitad del círculo va debajo del tubo y pegaremos esto con silicón.

It's time to paint all the cut parts and the cardboard tube in the color of your choice. Draw silhouettes of cat's eyes on cardboard according to the color of the cat's body to be painted, in this case I made them white. Draw the cat's nose on cardboard, when the nose and eyes are cut out, glue them to the tube when everything is painted to represent the cat's face and draw part of the eyes and mouth.

Es hora de pintar todas las partes cortadas y el tubo de cartón del color de preferencia. Dibujar siluetas de ojos de gatos en cartulina según combine con el color del cuerpo del gato a pintar, en este caso los hice blancos. Dibujar la nariz del gato en cartulina, cuando estén recortados nariz y ojos peguen al tubo cuando este todo pintado para representar la cara del gato y dibujar parte de los ojos y boca.

With the cutter on top of the tube where the ears go, make a line to introduce or the other option is to make ears that have a tab to fold and glue. Make with the cutter, the mouth where the fish will be introduced, I made the approximate measure of 2 cm and finally the cat needs whiskers and tails, therefore, make holes to place the pipe cleaners that will simulate the parts of the gluttonous cat. Depending on the size of the cat's mouth, build colored fishes with the pipe cleaners, I used the primary colors.

Con el cutter arriba del tubo donde van las orejas hacer una línea para introducir o la otra opción es hacer unas orejas que tengan una pestaña para doblar y pegar. Hacer con el cutter la boca por donde se introducirán los pescados, hice la medida proximida de 2 cm y por último el gato necesita bigotes y colas, por tanto realizar huecos para colocar los limpia pipas que simularan las partes del gato glotón. Según el tamaño de la boca del gato construir con los limpia pipas pescados de colores, yo use los colores primarios.

Time to play
The gluttonous cat needs to eat, ask the child to take the fish and feed; the child puts the fish in through the mouth. I give the child more time to coordinate because it is difficult for him/her. Then, I make the game more complex with the instruction to feed by colors and then by quantity. This game develops fine motor skills, eye-hand exercise, sequential and divergent thinking. As the child progresses, you can vary the instructions, i.e., ask for color and quantity or have the child join the game, asking for the instructions.

Hora de jugar
El Gato glotón necesita comer, pedir al niño tomar los peces y dar de comer; el niño introduce por la boca los peces. Le otorgo mayor oportunidad de tiempo al pequeño para que coordine porque se le dificulta. Después complejizar el juego con la consigna de alimentar por los colores y luego por cantidad. Este juego desarrolla la motricidad fina, ejercicio óculo manual, el pensamiento secuencial y divergente. A medida que el niño progrese, puedes variar las consignas, es decir, pedir color y cantidad o que el niño se incorpore en el juego, solicitando él las consignas.

The most fun was when the child discovered that the fish came out from underneath, he began to explore and touch the cat, so I used the sensory resource to work on textures. It is important, depending on the intellectual maturity of the child, to demonstrate so that he can repeat the exercise. As always, you are free to transform my idea, according to the need and creativity. Homeschooling is the opportunity to develop knowledge to use and reinforce learning.

Lo más divertido, fue cuando el niño descubre qué los peces salen por debajo, empezó a explorar y tocar el gato, así que usé el recurso sensorial para trabajar texturas. Es importante, según la madurez intelectual niño, hacer una demostración para que él pueda repetir el ejercicio. Como siempre, ustedes son libres para transformar mi idea, según la necesidad y creatividad. La educación en casa es la oportunidad de desarrollar conocimientos para usarlos y reforzar el aprendizaje.
