This week we've got a nice selection of posts which should bring you food for thought and ideas for learning experiences. Also a call for help. Do you have educational recommendations for newcomers to home education? Do let @jacobtothe know in his post, so he can help through the local library.

Coming from the schooling system, it can be hard to shake the stigma that learning is work. I had a conversation with my daughter today on the concept, because now she's having to do compulsory subjects for her high school certificate and has started seeing learning as a chore which is draining her. In @ryivhnn’s latest homeschooling miscellany update we're reminded that learning is happening even if you're not necessarily trying and it's the fun things that we learn from best. Creative ways to correct baking mishaps and fake wounds anyone?

Hands up if you've started homeschooling because of quarantine? It may seem rather daunting when it's not something you've chosen to take on, but @sumatranate has some advice for families who are doing this.

On the same theme, @jacobtothe has put a call out for links to online learning that his library can promote to those new home educators created by quarantine. Unfortunately, they will have to stay within certain restrictions, in order to not promote anything controversial, so they're trying to expand recommendations within these restrictions.

This week @libertyacademy shares a lesson and activity pack on Laura Ingalls Wilder. A good resource if you're wanting to expand on literacy with your children/students.

Science can be one of the most fun subjects, because we can get hands on and experiment. This experiment shared by @gaetano23 shows a visual reaction to a biological process which will hopefully get some conversation and learning going with your children.

Thank you for joining us. This curation was brought to you by @minismallholding and this week I have chosen @sumatranate to be a 10% beneficiary of this post and have added in another beneficiary for @mattclarke for the ongoing delegation support. Thank you!
