This week we had homeschooling student, @keeperseeker, join us and give us a lovely introduction to herself. I hope we can give this member of @sumatranate's family a warm, Hive welcome.
@queenart had been getting creative and upcycling some old items with acrylic paints. This is a beautifully presented post with a written presentation, photos and even a video to take us through the process.
It's not always easy to capture the attention of young children to teach them new things. So here we have a simple to make game from @mildredwg which can make learning vowels, and perhaps other things, more fun.
With extra kiddos in the house, @romeskie has been getting creative with a home made board game which even incorporates some curriculum practice to keep their minds and bodies fresh through the break. It's got a Monopoly vibe, but with a young audience in mind.
@taliakerch has been trying out some different approaches to teaching early maths with her son. She goes through which methods worked for him and how they've particularly made progress with a number line for addition and subtraction.
