This week we have some discussions on schooling and homeschooling, along with some art projects. Also, @melbourneswest is looking for tips on teaching reading and writing in the early years, can you offer any?

First our usual thank you everyone who makes this community what it is. This week 5% beneficiaries for interaction and contribution to the HomeEdders community go to:

@emimoron
@majo77
@kidsisters
@afterglow

It's lovely to see @romeskie sharing her homeschooling journey again. Sometimes illness can knock us off schedule, but it doesn't mean all has to be lost, as she demonstrates with this relaxed approach they've been taking through art.

This past year and a half with the lockdowns happening across the world has really led to some discoveries for many on the homeschooling front. Isolation was often a concern raised by people on the topic of homeschooling, yet isolation has been enforced on all of us for other reasons and has raised the question as to whether it does exist in homeschooling at all. @melbourneswest delved into this very topic this week and also asks for tips on early reading and writing.

@kidsisters shares four of her favourite books, what she likes about them and how she reads them to her younger sister. I love how this also demonstrates the cycle of how students can help each other with learning and cementing what they've learnt through teaching others.

Education, the school system and its history fascinate me in many ways and often bring up discussion these days. Is it outdated, is there an ulterior motive to suppress the education of the general populous or does it suit some, but not others? @steveparma shares his thoughts on the design of the school system.

Have you ever seen those games where you control a ball through a maze or obstacles? Well @mildredwg demonstrates how you can make one for younger children. It's a great way to use up those things you'd normally throw out too.

Thank you for joining us. This curation was brought to you by @minismallholding and this week I have added @Canadian-coconut as 10% beneficiary for the ongoing delegation support. Thank you!

Thank you very much for the support you give us in the community not only with this recognition but in the interaction with everyone in the posts. Congratulations to everyone selected this week.

Thank you so much. I almost didn't pull the trigger on posting it. It's a very long and nuanced topic that I only gave a very short summary of.

I hope it can bring up some conversation and debate.

Thank you very much for this support and incentive we receive from @homeedders it is for me a real honor to be here, read and enjoy the interaction with the members of the community, again thank you.

Some posts that have got me thinning this week. 😁
