I think you have a rational approach to it. We very much do similar things, working with our girls to teach them everything from cooking and cleaning to science and computer skills. It does require a lot of time, but that is a resource there is never enough of in a day.

Haha yeah! There is definitely never enough time in a day. My wife sometimes doesn't understand that. Things sometimes always get pushed off for one reason or another but she hasn't quite agreed with me that sometimes you just need to say screw it, might as well do it now instead of constantly putting it off lol.
When they get taught the well rounded stuff I think they have a much better idea of what it’s like to appreciate the different aspects of life. Some things are good and fun but you need a broad knowledge base in order to have a good chance to figure out what you’re good at, I think!
