For the very first time, I set my trail camera pointing straight down at a small creek, hoping to catch a glimpse of the otters that live here — and maybe a raccoon raiding the water's edge too. Both of them showed up.
But the real star of this footage? A stunning kingfisher! Out of pure luck, the camera happened to capture this little jewel hunting right in the frame — and what incredible action it caught! I never expected to film this nice action.

Ten ledňáček nemá chybu. Občas nějaké "modré blesknutí" zahlédnu, ale nikdy se nedostanu tak blízko, abych si ho prohlédl. Sláva budiž fotopastem :-)
Vidět se dá i sedící, ale s fotkama je to horší. Jedině kryt a čekat u rybníka. Možná by pomohla menší "past" dobře umístěný klacek nad vodou. Když jsem chodil na ryby na pískovnu, tak si mi ledňáček sedl na prut. Holt rybařík 😃
U rybníka jsem ho ještě nepotkal. U potoka ano. Ale chodím ven se psem a o nějakém tichém přiblížení si můžu nechat jen zdát. A čekat hodiny na ten "modrý klenot" se mi opravdu nechce. Navíc je to hodně nejisté. Kde se ukázal třeba včera, tam se nemusí další měsíc ukázat vůbec.
