Hello 'HIVE'

in #hive6 years ago (edited)

Well...phewffffff… I finally got on at 'Hive.io' and able to make my 'first' post on our new platform.

I was getting a little worried because I've been trying to 'login' through various methods, and not being successful.

ALSO...something seems to be up with SteemPeak too, because I was prevented from publishing my post. It went directly to 'save' as a draft?!?!?

Anyway...I'm happy to be here on 'HIVE' and plan to stay active with various blog posts from here instead of steemit, because all of the crap going on 'there'.

Hope I see some of my friends here soon.

Ciao

Buzz on...HIVE...!!!

Sort:

I'm here after spending the day going out and hoarding.

I hear ya my friend, it's bloody anarchy out there. The word unprecedented is being bandied about like ya can't believe but I tell you something, it seems to be the only way to sum up where we find ourselves right now!

Great to cross paths with you my friend. Wishing the very best to you and yours from me and mine. Still remember the exact post we met on, it was a contest, my entry was about the passing of my dog lady and yours was about your much loved ((forgive me if I spelled her name the wrong way)) Gem. Seems like a lifetime ago, doesn't it?

Truly fabulous to see you here my friend :)

Definitely feels unprecedented. Where I am, we're not supposed to leave home except for essential stuff like grocery shopping. You have to go to the stores at 4 am if you want any chance at getting stuff like TP or baby wipes. The majority of people wear masks and gloves when they are in public. I also saw one of my neighbors being tested outside a couple days ago.

Yes, it does feel like a lifetime ago. I feel like a different person than when I started. My view of Steem and the world has also changed.

Stay safe!

Good to see you've arrived here on 'HIVE' @ninjamike... Hope all is well with you and that you were able to find enough life sustaining supplies in your search :>)

Are you out of work now due to Govt. mandates, or able to work from home?

I'm able to work from home.

Steempeak is now peakd.com and your user name. I have not tried to post yet, but day one things are bound to not run super smooth.

We've gotten things running pretty quickly all things considered. Only a few more things to go. Some of them pretty obscure. Then back to NEW developments.

Thanks for the 'QUICK' response @PeakD … There is no animosity on this end :>) I'm still a fan of PeakD and understand the challenges switching over to Hive must present.

Delegation, where are they, how do I make or change them, I have looked everywhere, or is that all still in the works? I'll be patient, I think you guys are doing a fantastic job.

Hi @bashadow … good to see you here on HIVE.
Yes, I kind of surmised that SteemPeak is now @PeakD when I saw the similarity in their UI. I couldn't log in yesterday at PeakD following their login protocol; I'm not complaining...just stating my experience on that 'first day' :>)
Dapp creators usually appreciate feedback from users in order to Tweak the Code when needed (if so)

Hope all is well with you and the 'snow' is on the 'melt'...

Actually it is snowing...again...today, But there is a real possibility it will change to rain, which would be good. I think the first week is going to be a bit bumpy, I was just having a glitch where everything sort of stopped in mid comment to another user, about 20 mins ago, so just waited it out by doing some voting over on steem block chain, things have gone down hill quite rapidly. I hope things improve and stabilize for them, but to much BS over there right now.

I certainly enjoyed my first day on Hive, glitches and all, but I'm one of those weird people that like change, even if it is only change for the sake of change.

Yes Jarvie and the crew over there are very responsive to input, that is one of the reasons I like their product.

Absolutely! Humans don't always have the patience for things not being perfect 5 seconds after launch do they? lol

I am happy to be here and to see almost all familiar names, it feels like a snapshot in time from the heady heyday of our previous home. I hope that working together we can all learn from what went before and collectively do so much better with the second chance we have been given.

Wishing the very best to you and yours from me and mine for a time of transition in every conceivable way.

Yup exactly the same here, took almost 2 days of trying various posting methods to finally be able to hit the 'publish' button on peakd.

I have high hopes for the future, second chances must be grabbed with both hands because as many of us know they do not always come along when we need them.

Awesome to see ya here Truth-Speaker, I suspect in the coming weeks we may cross paths in discussions of some of the more Draconian measures being taken globally, measures that make perfect sense right now but may not be entirely rolled back after the crisis subsides.

Enjoy the hive days and let's pray they herald a brand new dawn of community, decentralization, co-operation and friendship for those who migrated because they could not watch the pantomime unfold any longer! :)
