RE: Cryptoprices, Hive, Steem and Corona

in #hive4 years ago

Dear @solarwarrior

I've seen some people saying 'welcome on the other side'. Is thar right? :)

I mean wasn't bitcoin exactly set up for such a environment?

That is such a right question to ask. It seem that currently all assets failed. i think having assets is supposed to protect us from inflation, but it cannot help us when we suffer credit crunch on such a massive scale.

Economic disruptions and problems in the banking system will show the advantage of cryptos over fiat money.

Let's pray for that :)

I mean if steem price would crash now wouldn't he loose his face?

If price would crash now, then he would just enjoy huge discounts and I bet he is hoping that witnesses and large stakeholders will dump all that steem. I don't see him trying to create any demand. The truth is that there will be so many people who will start panicsell very soon, hoping to sell as much and as fast as possible. To get out from steem before their invesment will be worthless.

I would rather assume that Justin will pump price once most migration will take place. I would not expect him to buy anything from us within next 13 weeks or more. Why would he care about helping those who are powering down now?

Thanks again to those 20 "balls of steel" witnesses who not only saved our blockchain and our community but apparently also our money!

Are you being sarcastic? :) Hard to tell, but it does sound like it.

No, not sarcastic. I believe that hive will actually be much better than steem in the end and that without the fork both hive (as it would be non existend) and steem (as it is now Justin's baby) would have not survived.. I saw a above 66% chance that steem (and with it steem price) will hit the wall... so I am very thankful to those 20 witnesses for the hardfork... and maybe at the end we can say that this whole thing was the best that ever happend to this community
