Not sure when this happened but the return proposal is now at 61M HP, up from the 35M where it was just recently. The only project that is getting funding now is Ecency with a proposal that will end in 27 days.
Even the hbdstabilizer is not being funded now. If you wonder how the return proposal increased so much it's becouse of blocktrades who is now voting it.
We can debate long and hard, but a lot of projects on Hive just need to step up with their HP holdings and make the system more decentralized. Blocktrades has been staking throughout all these years, never selling, buying millions and here we are. If more users and projects were doing the same we would have a bit more even playing ground.l

I am perfectly fine with this. This should have been done a long time ago. Let individual projects lobby for their vote. This is the right way to get funding.
90% of the hive members do not even know which projects are getting funded and why. That need to change. This action by blocktrades will force that change.
The bar is higher now. A lot more effort is needed to get funding. Not impossible though. Also I doubt we will see lowering the HP for the return as others might start unvoting the return, lowering the bar a bit
BT votes for other projects that are not currently funded, so others can make a difference. If more unvote the return proposal that may swing things.
Finally. Everyone has to re-think what they are asking.
I’d love to see the bar low. But on the other hand, I’d love to see people care, and come up with reasonable proposals.
This is the best news I've seen in awhile. I hope BT keeps his vote there and doesn't let the backdoor politicking influence him, as I'm sure he's already getting a lot of DMs with offers and deals and so on (i.e. bribes). The ninjamine should have been destroyed when we forked. I am all for BT putting it out of reach of all projects except those which the entire community unites to support.
This is the dark side of the “one Hive one vote” policy.
Still, it’s more transparent than anything else. And considering that with great (Hive) Power comes great responsibility, it even makes sense.
The higher stake we have, the more we (should) care.
