I believe it is very hard have any system without certain weaknesses one should remain vigilant of.
For example, when you mention that we have no concentrated "steering committee" here... one of my worries about decentralization (perhaps it's Achilles heel?) has always been that fine line between truly functional decentralization and a state of chaotic FRAGMENTATION where it becomes like putting 10 people in a boat, each with a paddle, and everyone paddles in their own direction at their own pace... while the boat goes nowhere.
But, time will till. As for the price of Hive (and Steem), it seems to me we shouldn't really make too many plans until the initial 13-week (respective) power-down periods have expired...
But yes, these are interesting times, and filled with potential!
