RE: How to buy HIVE with €uros

in #hive2 years ago

3.72 euros in fees, that's still 2.72 euros more than if you do it directly trough Binance. In the past sepa deposits to Binance were free, today they cost 1euro, the deposits usually arrive in minutes, and you can place a buy order at the exact price you are comfortable with.

Wait a minute ...Can you buy Hive with € directly on Binance now? It was never the case before: you had to first buy BTC or ETH and then trade one of those for Hive.
Anyway, if that is the case now, you still need to open an account on Binance first. That means you are a "crypto person", you arrived at Hive thinking of crypto. What this place (the "cryptoverse in general) needs is more "normies" who come for the content (for the game, etc) in the first place and they only discover crypto through Hive. And when that happens, it's cool to have a direct bridge rather than having to say "oh, now you need to go open an account on a CEX which lists Hive" ...

Just checked a few moments ago and it is now indeed possible to buy Hive directly with € on Binance. I wasn't aware, it's a relatively new functionality. Good for Hive and for all of us !

Indeed! You now have three pairs (in Binance):

  • HIVE BUSD
  • HIVE USDT
  • HIVE BTC

So either way you may acquire it and withdraw it directly to your Hive address, with the option of purchasing both BUSD or USDT directly with your debit or credit card. Pretty convenient!

In CoinMarketCap you can find the different markets out there for Hive, such as: Huobi, Gate.io, MEXC, Probit, and many more that now are compatible with HIVE.

We're growing! This train will surely take us to lead the social tokenized experience in the near future... at least, that's my bet.

Thanks a lot for your post.

Hive has come a long way, the pair hive/usdt is listed on many exchanges, I prefer this method because I can set the exchange price for euro/usdt and then usdt/hive, if you buy directly you'll end up with a bit less than if you do it this way. This is not so important if you buy a small amount but the differences are easily visible for higher amounts.
My guess is that many people who use hive, there's a big chance they have a Binance account as well, if not, it's more useful to do a kyc with Binance and then use them for different trades as well than to do the kyc with Transak.
The direct option to get hive could be nice for newcomers but the thing that they have to do a kyc doesn't look too appetizing.
