I have bad internet here.
It has been enough to do what needs to be done up until now.
1 HBD is around .9 USD and I can't trade on the internal dex 🙄
https://hivehub.dev
Blank page, doesn't load any further
https://wallet.hive.blog
Buttons to get to market.hive.blog (or whatever the subdomain was) don't load.
0.18 @ coingecko 0.18 @ internal dex
It doesn'tr really matter as the price on the internal market (in HBD) is the exact same as externally (in USD) - Probably because Hive and HBD is being traded in so few places.
Anyways, this is retarded.
I made a dex html myself years ago.
It was less than a KB big and had all functions.
https://github.com/fxnormaluser/Trade-Hive/blob/master/tradehive.html
It's broken now and the spagetthi-style makes me cringe today.
I think I used bootstrap, too. So unnecessary.
I was learning HTML/CSS/JS back then.
Today, I am advanced and chatgpt can sometimes help.
Code is just a hobby for me, but seeing how much these clowns get paid for inferior, bloated bullshit framework copy paste retardation is extremely frustrating.
I piss on their frameworks.
It's easily solvable with html 2.0, but they can't code shit and hide behind bloat.
IF I pick up Hive again, I will start building my own fucking market, frontend and vote-service because it all sucks.
I don't want to host anything, but I'd have to.
If someone wants to do the admin tasks around this, I'll happily go 50/50 on profits.
I'd be building from scratch: Caddy, html, css, JS, (SQL + Python ASGI for advanced shit)
Find me on Discord.
Yeah I noticed that hive.hub is not working a while ago.
For me the internal market works flawlessly. Maybe it is your internet connection from where you are.
Also the internal HBD price is at around a $, where on Coingecko it still shows only 0,92$.
The internal market (dex) has no HBD price, really.
Also:
Perhaps read up on what an orderbook is and what the witness price-feed does...
You are confusing things. My offer still stands btw ;)
I'm using this one for HIVE internal market trading
https://hivedex.io/
Good luck with developing stuff! It's always good to have more alternatives... ;)
wallet.hive.blog is a very old code, based on the
condenser
code (was just maintained since the legacy chain), and is going to be replaced withdenser
codebase for easier, and simpler maintenance with much modern stack and tools. From your screenshot it seems that you are not logged in so that's you are not getting at that view buttons to the market.
Hosting shouldn't be a problem for small app that you are describing because you can do it within github pages, i.e. github hosts it out of the box, you just provide a domain, etc.
I'd have to host. For various reasons. Don't feel like elaborating here.
Thanks, though. I appreciate the comment.
I can manage.
Are you familiar with Linux and Docker and maybe even Caddy webserver?
Linux - yes
Docker - know the concept
Caddy webserver - No, but we use our own server, and Tomcat at times.
We should just have a quick voice chat.
I am busy until Novermber, then I decide if I pick this up or not :).
Ok, I have some other ideas too, I think, Hive is best for a review app, let's connect in November.
totally feel you on the 0.18 parity and the internal market being unusable on slow net :(
When the spread is flat like that, moving HBD for USD make zero sense, and the heavy frontends just waste time.
That tiny tradehive.html approach still hits, my bean counter brain prefers lean code over bloat.
If you do spin it up with Caddy and plain html css js, and let someone else handle the ADmin grind, I bet a lot of folks would cheer it on :).
Lol, they get paid huge cause those who give then the contract don't know how to go about it and where they get it from. You that is in the system with huge experience will know the ins and outs.
The market is always open for anyone to venture...
