From a technological point of view HIVE is a great platform, and also the original idea behind it (to be blockchain based, decentralized, censorship-resistant and offer the possibility to earn for blogging) is brilliant.
On the other side the power is concentrated in the hands of a small number of users (some of them early miners and former bidbot owners) who in addition know and support each other since the beginning. That's why I call HIVE an "Oligarchy".
That said so far the alternatives to HIVE aren't better in my opinion.
As 'small' user best for you is probably to stay out of 'politics' and just enjoy posting.
Agree. Won't understand the politics anyway, but I will find out the technical details. Curious to know how they do that.
