v2.7 is now live on Android and iOS, bringing big improvements to the in-app browser experience! Let's dive into what is new in our latest version and how it improves your daily use of Hive Keychain.
Streamlined Navigation & Gestures
The browser’s main navigation bar now automatically hides as you scroll down, giving you more screen space and a cleaner view. We've also added gesture support for the go back, go forward, and reload functions. You can now simply swipe from the left to go back, swipe from the right to go forward, or pull down to reload the page. You'll notice a helpful pop-up tutorial showing you how to use all the new browser gestures effectively.
We hope this enables a faster and more natural navigation experience on our mobile apps. Feel free to comment on any feedback that can help us make your experience even better.
Improved Browsing Interface
The URL bar is now more responsive and better integrated into the app flow, allowing smoother access and input. You can also tap the browser icon to seamlessly switch between the in-app browser and the main wallet page, giving you faster control and access. This comes along with a better memory handle that unlocks a smoother performance and less lag when switching views or tabs.
Enhanced Favorites & History Management
Last but not least, managing your favorite sites just got easier thanks to the community request (your request). You can reorganize your Favorites sites at your convenience with a long press and drag on any of them. You can also swipe left on any favorite or history entry to delete it.
Give it a try and post a screenshot of your Favorites page in the comments below.
Dynamic Hive Engine RPC, Hive-URI support and bug fixes
The Hive Engine RPC handling is now dynamic. Keychain will automatically switch to a better-performing RPC if you enable dynamic RPC switch and encounter performance issues. This feature is on by default for all new users, and enabled for existing users still using the default RPC.
Our apps now fully support Hive-URI, ensuring seamless interaction with dApps and services using this standard. dApps can now pass a callback link along with the request, so that Keychain will redirect the user to the App after performing an operation.
We've also fixed some bugs. One of them was to make sure that the active account is always selected by default when scanning a QR Code (except if it's missing the necessary key).

Hey guys @starkerz @buttcoins @ecoinstant I’m testing on apple and that annoying wallet icon bug seems to be finally fixed 🙌 go try it out and confirm!
Yes please! Check this issue and give us any feedback to improve.
Yes.... i noticed this too!! WOOT WOOT!!
Just updated and will check it out
Cool stuff. Gestures are a natural way for most people to navigate.
Wow, this is great 👍
Nice to hear! I love to use the Hive Keychain App, especially during my vacation.
Thanks for the constant updates keychain team!
Work Hard, Play Hard 💪
In the improved in-app browser it is impossible to scroll up. It just refresh instead.
Other than that, pretty neat 👌🏼
EDIT:
Apparently this is not the case on all sites. I experienced it on the risingstar site.
There was indeed an issue with Rising Start because for some reason the whole site is inside an iframe, rendering the scroll events harder to detect. I've updated our code and it's now working correctly. Expect the update on Android in a few hours, hopefully tomorrow on iOS.
When I saw it was only that site I had an idea it was something like iframe. Never liked iframes, even though they have certainly been useful in earlier days.
Awesome with such a quick fix! 💪🏼💯

Yeah, I'm not sure why they did it that way, but now it's supported as well!
It just went through on Android btw if you're on that OS, update to 2.7.11
Not yet available to me, I just checked. Might be the regional delays in the play store, but will definitely update when it's available 💯

Would it be an idea to add an option to leave the bottom menu stick (and adjust window size if it sticks)?
Alternatively some clever way to make the menu reappear.
I mostly talk about in the browser, but could be applied to the entire app
I was thinking about adding a trigger on/off with two-fingers touch on top of the scroll up/down
That sounds like a good idea 💯

Thank you for your feedback. We will let our team know about it, but please, if the issue continues, leave us a message on our Discord.
Could you guys tell me how do I delete all the cache/cookies from the built in browser? I'm hoping that is the bug I'm having with checkinwith and distriator.
Thanks for your hard work guys
There's a button after pressing the URI bar.
There was an issue detecting scrolling events on Flutter, the particular framework they use. I've just fixed it and am pushing the update now. Should be available in a few hours on Android, tomorrow for iOS.
Awesome you are on it so fast… Great news!!
Cheers mate and thanks for the support
I didn't even know that Keychain had those functions in the app. I thought it was merely a, well, keychain, which is already great on my laptop browser. Will totally check it out, thank you!
I was impressed by the amount of features it has; being able to play Splinterlands directly from my wallet is amazing. I only had it Hivekeychain on my laptop's browser.
It is time to play from your phone!
The future of the app remains promising as it continues to improve.
Keychain is just so very nice and easy to use, keep up the great work!
I have updated my app today after reading this announcement, Thanks for doing great work and making hive so easy and awesome
I tested this update on my phone yesterday, and everything is working fine. Everything is fine for Tribaldex, Moon game, and Crownrend. Thank you so much ^^
Thank you for your feedback!
Great enhancements
This is how my favorites page looks like. Not sure though why some of the site displays wrong icons.
Did you add them to favorites very fast after switching pages? It could be that the metadata didn't have time to update before you did so. Let me take a look.
Edit : Indeed that was the issue, fixed it already and will be shipped in the next version
Might be that. After removing the sites from favorites and adding them again, it corrected the icons.
Thank you for your feedback. We will let our team know about it, but that would probably depend on each website's favicon and not Keychain.
I absolutely love the new feature that allows me to switch between mobile and desktop view and this automatically improves my experience while using Keychain app to access the various front ends. Guys if you haven’t updated your app, I strongly recommend you do so 😁

The little popup menu at the bottom is working much better now ;) Great update ;)
