My Two Cents About YOLOing

When we were coming of age, I started hearing the term YOLO which stands for “You Only Live Once.”

Though many have a different version or variation on how to use this quote, but the most enchanting version is when it used to encourage someone to do something at that very moment because tomorrow is never guaranteed. It’s like a friend or an inner voice that says, “Now or never,” “Go get it!” or “Keep pushing!”

However, even how heartwarming, mood-lifting and soul-stirring this Four Letters (or words) could mean, there are still a lot of people that tend to be swayed into thinking that YOLOing is akin to making irrational decisions in the heat of the moment, going with the flow even if it means putting their lives in peril or doing something for an instant gratification which they would later regret doing.

So if we only live once, should we really be wasting our time on foolish things? Should we be focusing on indulging ourselves with the materials of this world? Or should we be spending it in a manner that we disregard what our Lord God have taught us?

Having courage to do something or to stand up for something that you firmly believe in doesn’t mean that you have to be foolish. It doesn’t mean that you have to be preoccupied with material possessions. Remember that there are far more important things that we must prioritize in this life. The materials of this world that people think are important will be destroyed comes the judgment day.

It is true that we only live once, so the wisest thing to do is seize every opportunity to obey the commandment of our Lord God. It would really be unwise to waste our time on temporal things. Let us not satisfy our sinful self instead we should live in the right way – in accordance to the teachings written in the bible.

This is how we can make our lives extraordinary, by making sure that our only lifetime would not be put to waste because we will not be led to destruction in the end.

Further, please watch this video to find out theopportunity that peoplemust take advantage of and must not hesitate to hold on to.

We should live in a right way, like people who belong to the day. We should not have wild parties or be drunk. We should not be involved in sexual sin or any kind of immoral behavior. We should not cause arguments and trouble or be jealous. 14 But be like the Lord Jesus Christ, so that when people see what you do, they will see Christ. Don’t think about how to satisfy the desires of your sinful self.— Romans 13: 13-14 ERV

Very wise insights you have there in approaching the YOLO mindset. Kind of like coincidence and if there is an existence, or are things put in our paths to purposely be noticed?

As it is my dear @enginewitty.
Hope you’re doing fine and safe!❤️
