I agree with you about "shows little sign of ending". The prices of hive seems to have found a new price of support in the $0,07 no strengh to go up, but also not going bellow it.
It feels like the market is waiting for something to happen to decide what to do. It's a good time to make some small purchases of impact. I've bought for example some hive to get into the 10k, if the prices were higher I would needed to pay much more for the same amount.
It's great time to review some positions! 🙂
It's cheap to level up here right now and I'm sure some are doing that. I just think there is more to the value of Hive than just the coin.

If you compare to other social platforms you can think of HP as a way to get more attention just like a verified badge.
All it really proves is your commitment to Hive. Even reputation does not mean so much as it can be influenced by just one big account. I keep powering up as I want to help others. As long as the price stays low I see little point in taking it out.
