Changing witness votes from time to time could also help.
I guess I could vote (virtually) always for a small group of witnesses (5 to 10) I definitely prefer but rotate the remaining votes among others (15 to 20 that I also trust) more frequently. I could easily remind myself once a month or every two months that it's voting day and change some votes.
